Today show anchor Savannah Guthrie married Michael Feldman over the weekend and surprised guests with special news. According to People, there were 80 to 90 people who witnessed the couple say their “I do’s” in a secret ceremony in Tucson, Arizona. Among the invited were Jon and Dorothea Bon Jovi, Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Hoda Kotb and Willie Geist. After a DJ played NBC News “Special Report” music – the 42-year-old announced their baby news.
A source said, “Savannah looked at Mike, and said, ‘So, should we break some news? Okay. I – we – are four months pregnant!’ It was an explosive moment. Everyone was on their feet, cheering.”
The couple met in 2008 when she tagged along with a mutual friend to his 40th birthday party.
Guthrie said last year to Elle, “I would love to have kids. I hope so, if we’re lucky and blessed, but who knows what life holds, you know? I’m 41 years old.”
Guthrie tweeted a photo on Monday (March 17) and wrote: “We did.”
