Lily Allen Brings Her Girls To Work

Lily Allen carries little Ethel in NYC

Lily Allen was seen with her daughters Ethel, 2, and Marnie, 1, leaving the Mercer Hotel in New York City on Friday (March 21).

On Wednesday (March 19) the English singer also shared a photo via Instagram of her two girls. Showing only the back of their heads sitting in the makeup chair she wrote: “Babies at work with momma today. #NYC.”

In her recent interview with MTV - Allen admits that her upcoming new album Sheezus is a nod to Kanye West.

She explained, “There’s a song on the album … called ‘Sheezus,’ and the first verse is about me re-entering the music scene, and how kind of scary that is. And the choruses talk about people who are this in the scene, and [the idea] that women tend to be played against one another. The way I read it, there’s a queen and everyone else is in her slipstream. So I guess what it’s trying to say is that we can all be ‘Sheezus.’”

Being outspoken in the past – this time she’s going to let her new songs speak for her.

“I don’t even know why I did it before; I just felt like I was saying what everyone else was thinking, it wasn’t even an intentional, ‘I want to cuss this person out’ kind of thing. That’s one thing that has changed from having children; you realize that everybody is somebody else’s child, and would you like someone to say that about your child?”

Lily looks fantastic. It seems a little unfair taking pics of her daughters when she’s never shown their faces in public though, makes me feel a little uneasy.

She comes to the states and gets bombarded by photographers. Go figure! I have no problem looking at celeb babies but when parents distinctively go out of their way to never show their kids these pics make it uneasy to look at.
