This picture steals our hearts!
Prince George stole the show during his playdate in Wellington, New Zealand on Wednesday (April 9). The royal tot, 8 months, was doted on by his parents – Kate Middleton and Prince William – and swiped a few toys from other kids at the event.
The tiny heir to the British throne joined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for a playgroup with 10 other families in the Blundell Room at Government House. The room was full of toddlers and toys — and the future king had a blast.
The future monarch first grabbed a purple tambourine, but he quickly grew bored of that and started going after other kids’ toys. The new mom – who looked pretty in a Tory Burch Paulina dress – tried to give him a blue plastic block, but George threw it to the floor.
At one point, baby George waved his arms to get a little girl’s attention and then stole the wooden doll she was playing with. The girl, Paige Stevens, started to cry, so the Duchess stroked her hair in an attempt to comfort her, and then bonded with the girl’s mum.
“Paige grabs toys. She’s just started teething,” the girl’s mum told the Duchess. Middleton, 32, replied, “George too!”
The Prince also had some fun with a baby drum set, and a fellow playgroup pal named Isabella Tunstall.
“Isabella and George had a lot of fun on the drums,” Isabella’s dad Ryan told reporters. “It was a pleasure sharing our beautiful baby with the Duke and Duchess. The whole thing was a wonderful highlight.”
Not to mention his adorable outfit!
The royal tot donned Rachel Riley smocked dungarees featuring a sailboat on the front and were layered with a white shirt collared shirt with navy trim. The nautical-inspired ensemble retails for $129.View Slideshow »»
