Congratulations are in order for Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra.

The Teen Mom stars are expecting their second child together. The young couple announced the news via Instagram Wednesday: “#itsofficial #4months,” Baltierra captioned the baby bump photo.

Lowell, 21, first appeared on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant in 2009, where she gave birth to daughter Carly, now 5, whom the couple decided to give up for adoption.

Lowell and Baltierra had an open adoption and still keep in contact with the family who adopted Carly. The young couple documented the emotional process on Teen Mom.

On Thursday, Baltierra posted another photo on Instagram of their firstborn child.

“The moment we never wanted to end #ThrowBackThursday #Carly #Adoption #MyGirls,” he captioned the precious pic.

While this marks the pair’s pregnancy announcement, Lowell’s mom April Stotts broke the news via Facebook in May.

“Gonna be a grandma again,” she proudly wrote, while Catelynn’s younger brother added, “Catelynn is pregnant,” on his page.

Just before her family’s announcements, in April Lowell tweeted, “I am an adult and I can tell when I’m ready and idc what ANYONE says I’m gonna do me! We ARE READY for a baby. #HatersGonnaHate.”

Baltierra also took to Twitter: “Yeah I want a baby, so what!? I have been through enough in my life to understand the wisdom it takes to make this decision #BackOff #IDGAF.”

I think if any of those teen mom’s can take care of a baby its Katelyn and Tyler. They showed so much maturity when giving up Carly and l bet that was so hard for them. They have been together along time. Finished school. And seem mature. And they are not teens anymore. I wish them the best. 21 is still young but l have no doubts they will make great parents.
