Nicole Richie Throws A Party For Sparrow
Nicole Richie and her fiance Joel Madden threw a backyard bash this weekend to celebrate their son Sparrow's first birthday - he'll officially hit the milestone on September 9.
The guest list included a few A-list friends and family, including Uncle Benji Madden and pal Ellen Pompeo and her daughter Stella Luna, who will also be turning 1 this month.
Party-goers were treated to birthday standards such as cake and balloons, but a source tells People that Nicole opted to keep things simple.
"Nicole was keeping the party simple to not overwhelm Sparrow. Everyone seemed to have a great time."
LeAnn Rimes Says It's "Chaotic" Living With Eddie Cibrian's Kids
LeAnn Rimes admits that living with Eddie Cibrian's two children can be "quite chaotic". People reports that the country singer was at Tabu in Las Vegas last week celebrating her 28th birthday when she spoke about them.
"I went from being by myself to having two kids in the house. It's really amazing. They're really incredible."
Rimes also adds that she doesn't mind getting older.
"I'm actually one of those strange people that actually enjoys getting older," she said. "My age was made such a big deal out of when I was little, so I always wanted to get older. I'm still kind of in that frame of mind. Maybe when I hit 30 that will change."
Eddie Cirbrian moved in with LeAnn earlier this summer. He shares custody of Mason, 7, and Jake 3, with his ex-wife Brandi Glanville.

In my mind I fought so hard for justice at the very beginning of my pregnancy. I was hanging my head in shame because people were going, 'Is that the father or isn't it?' So, do I really want to be on a red carpet yet again, entertaining everybody else's world, like, 'We're a happy family' and 'Ooh, Eddie's back in our life?' But I had no choice. It brings up all that pain and all that hurt that I went through by myself, pregnant. I had to move to the beach, I had paparazzi following me everywhere, I had people calling me a golddigger, saying that I got pregnant on purpose; it was a horrible time."

Christina Aguilera: "Having Max Has Brought Us Closer Together"
Christina Aguilera opens up about her five-year marriage to Jordan Bratman in the October issue of Cosmopolitan UK.
The pop singer admits that marriage takes work stating, "Everyone has rough patches, everybody grows and we all change. It's important to give each other room to grow and to accept them for who they are."
To keep things spicy, she leaves little notes for her husband.
"I leave little lipstick marks on the bathroom mirror for when he wakes up, and little notes written in lipstick on the mirror and in the shower," she says. "Little notes, little cards, little 'I love yous' here and there, just to keep things fun and alive."
Thank goodness for parenthood! Christina adds that being mom to their 2-year-old son Max has helped strengthen their relationship.
Having Max has brought us closer together," she says. "[Jordan] changed the first nappy while I was in bed recovering from my C-section -- and he's been so hands-on ever since. When I see them together it makes my heart sing and melt at the same time."
