Update: Céline Dion Was Never Pregnant With Second Child
Update: News broke yesterday that Céline Dion was no longer pregnant with her second child. Reports today state that the 41-year-old French-Canadian singer was never pregnant and was misdiagnosed.
Céline's husband René Angélil confirmed to Canadian newspaper Journal de Montreal that the latest in vitro fertilization treatment she underwent in October was unsuccessful.
We're living the reality of the majority of couples who face these procreation techniques," Angélil told the paper. “Dr. Zev Rosenwaks believed that the procedure/pregnancy took, but that wasn’t the case. We found out some days later. We were shocked."
They quickly tried again to get pregnant, but were unsuccessful, he added, “But you know Céline. She doesn’t let go.” The couple have an “extraordinary” son, René-Charles, 8 ½, who was conceived with the help of Rosenwaks.
“I admire all the women who go through such a tough process. Since April, she has undergone numerous examinations, multiple hormone injections and blood tests,” Angélil said, adding that the couple will go to New York this weekend for a third try. “Céline and I didn’t get discouraged … we put our faith in life and in the stars.”

Singing sensation Céline Dion was seen leaving her hotel in New York City on Wednesday (October 14). The 41-year-old My Heart Will Go On singer looked fabulous in a grey dress and black leather gloves as she signed autographs for fans and stepped into her awaiting car.
The expectant songstress was seen the day before also outside her hotel. We're not spotting a baby bump on the French-Canadian singer just yet. She certainly has that pregnancy glow about her though!
Céline and her husband of 14 years, René Angélil, are expecting a baby brother or sister for their 8 1/2-year-old son René-Charles in May.

No baby bump in sight just yet, but expectant mom Celine Dion looked lovely as she was photographed outside of her New York hotel yesterday (October 13).
This is our first glimpse of the 41-year-old I'm Alive singer since she announced her pregnancy back in August. Celine and her husband René Angélil are expecting a baby brother or sister for their 8-year-old son René-Charles in May.
Céline Dion Pregnant With Embryo Frozen For 8 Years
Just yesterday Céline Dion revealed that she and her husband René Angélil are expecting their second child. Today, PEOPLE reveals that the 41-year-old award-winning musician conceived through in vitro fertilization with an eight-year-old frozen embryo.
According to her physician, Dr. Zev Rosenwaks, the Love Can Move Mountains songstress is "very excited" about the pregnancy. Dr. Rosenwaks, who performed the in vitro fertilization procedure, recalled his telephone conversation with the French Canadian pop star earlier this week to say the pregnancy test was positive: "You could hear her chuckling," he says. "She was very happy. So was René. They are both very thankful."
Rosenwaks, director of the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine at New York-Presbyerian Hospital/Weill Cornell Center Medical Center, confirmed that Céline conceived through in vitro fertilization, as she did with her son René-Charles. The doctor also revealed that the embryo had been kept frozen in liquid nitrogen for the past eight years. "She is very, very early in her pregnancy," says her doc.

Update: Céline Dion is in fact pregnant with her second child! A family member told PEOPLE, "We learned this morning." While a rep for the 41-year-old The Power of Love singer confirmed the news saying, "Céline and René are very happy," and "They are crazy in love over the news ... they are overjoyed."

Celine Dion Wants More Kids
Celine Dion's lengthy concert tour finishes next year - and she plans to mark the occasion by expanding her family! Already mom to a 7-year-old son, René-Charles, with husband René Angélil, Celine says,
"We'd love to extend the family. So if we're blessed again, I will be very happy to come back and do another interview with you and talk about it. I will be the first one to be extremely happy."
When asked if she has a frozen embryo - her son was conceived by in vitro fertilization after six years of trying - Celine answered,
"Yes, we have a frozen embryo," but one may not be enough. "I started to talk to René-Charles about it. He said 'Can we have four and five?'"
