Little Stella was so hungry she could eat a horse - a horse book, that is. The youngster was seen biting down on a book of equines.

Ellen, 41, paid a visit to The View this week, where she talked about the importance of her character's adoption storyline on her prime time hit, Grey's Anatomy.

Ellen Pompeo and Grey's Anatomy costar Patrick Dempsey grace the cover of TV Guide this month, and inside Ellen opens up about how she balances work and being a mom to Stella Luna, 1, her daughter with husband Chris Ivery.
"It's very challenging," she admits. "I bring her here as often as I can, but sometimes I have my moments where I am not the nicest person here because I feel very stressed that I want to get home to her."
But Ellen recently talked about the importance of also taking care of oneself in order to be an effective parent. "We have to do it for them. We’re so busy being martyrs a lot of the time, doing everything for them. Well, this is for them. Taking care of yourself is for them.”

Stella Luna looked so cute in her denim sun hat as she happily rested on mom's hip. Yesterday was Chris' first Father's Day with his sweet baby girl.
The 40-year-old Grey's Anatomy star recently talked about keeping her daughter out of the Hollywood limelight:
I'm a big girl so I can handle the scrutiny. I signed up for this life, and it's a luxury problem to have. But I want to keep my daughter out of it."

Glad to see the Grey's Anatomy star taking a day off with her family! The 40-year-old new mom recently talked about not taking a full maternity leave.
A lot of people couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t take my maternity leave. [She took four weeks off.] I make a good living, but I won’t always make this kind of money. I felt I needed to work while I had this opportunity. The writers and producers were really gracious and wrote my scenes so I could preshoot them. I didn’t have to miss any episodes.”

It's our first glimpse of Stella Luna!
Ellen Pompeo became a first time mom in September when she welcomed daughter Stella. The Grey's Anatomy star shared the first public picture of her daughter during a taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday (February 2), Access Hollywood reports.
Both in their gingham and jeans, proud papa Chris Ivery was pictured holding their sweet baby girl.
“Chris – he loves dressing her up like him,” Pompeo said. “He goes out and buys her clothes that look like his clothes.”
Pompeo said she's back to work thanks to some great help at home.
“I have an amazing baby nurse,” Pompeo said. “I couldn’t do it without her.”
The episode featuring Pompeo and the adorable picture of Stella, will air on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday, February 3.

Expectant parents Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery were spotted checking the progress of the construction of their new home on Friday (August 28) in Hollywood Hills, California. The couple were later spotted dining at Porta Via in Beverly Hills for a late lunch.
The 39-year-old Grey's Anatomy star and her record producer hubby are expecting their first child - a girl - in October.
The two-hour season premiere of Grey’s airs on Thursday, September 24 on ABC. Can't wait!

The expectant mom looked summer chic, showing off her baby belly in white pants and a sheer blouse.
Ellen and Chris's first baby is due this fall.
