Cobie Smulders: Motherhood Is "A Lot Of Work"
Four months after welcoming her daughter Shaelyn, new mom Cobie Smulders looked gorgeous in green at the LA premiere of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs this month.
The How I Met Your Mother star tells OK! that losing the baby weight wasn’t all that hard for her.
“I can’t really diet because I am breastfeeding and I think that I am blessed with very good genes, as well,” Cobie says. “I didn’t gain a lot with my pregnancy so I didn’t have a lot to work off.”
Getting her pre-pregnancy figure back may have been easy, but the 27-year-old actress admits that life with a newborn can be a challenge!
“It’s a lot of work and I feel extremely grateful because my job allows me a lot of flexibility and freedom,” she says. “And financially I am able to have a lot of help around.”
Cobie Smulders Welcomes A Daughter!
Actress Cobie Smulders and fiancé, actor Taran Killam, welcomed a baby girl, Shaelyn Cado Killam on May 16, reports PEOPLE.
Cobie and pregnant gal pal Alyson Hannigan joked around at an event in January, about how their conversations were generally baby focused.
"You really can't help it, because you have babies on the brain, and you can't help but talk about it a lot," laughed Cobie. "From creams, doctors, birth methods, dilation ... You talk about everything."
Alyson, whose daughter Satyana was born in March, and Cobie confide in each other and swap stories on the set of their show, How I Met Your Mother.
"It's nice because we can just talk about babies all day long, and not be like, 'Okay, this person has to be sick of this,' because you know that she's just as excited as I am," says Alyson.
This is the first child for Cobie and Taran. The couple announced their pregnancy last November, and became engaged in January.
Alyson Hannigan Is Gorgeous In Green
The cast of How I Met Your Mother came to a panel discussion at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in North Hollywood on Tuesday night. Both women of the cast are pregnant. Alyson Hannigan and her husband Alexis Denisof are expecting their first child this spring. The former Buffy The Vampire Slayer star looked radiant in a green maternity maxi dress. Cobie Smulders and her boyfriend Taran Killam are also expecting their first child in the spring.
