Alex Rodriguez and his wife, Cynthia, welcomed their second child, a baby girl weighing 7 lbs, 2 oz in Miami late Monday night.

"We are thrilled with the birth of our second daughter and the blessing of having two beautiful, healthy children in our lives," Rodriguez said in a statement.

The baby, whose name is yet to be released joins big sister Natasha, 3.

Alex Rodriguez and his pregnant wife, Cynthia, are pictured at a benefit for his A-Rod Family Foundation in Miami. When Cynthia was recently asked by CBS4 if it's tough being in the limelight, she replied:

"I think it poses challenges, but I think it forces you to reevaluate your value system. What matters and what's most important. At the end of the day he's just Natasha's dad and he's my husband. He's a family man."
