Desperate Housewives star, Felicity Huffman, and actor husband William H. Macy have managed to bring a sense of 'together-ness' to their family unit. But, it wasn't always welcomed. The blonde bombshell shares her story on her first iVillage blog.
When the Macy/Huffman duo started a family, their gypsy lifestyle changed. The addition of daughters, Sophia, 11, and Georgia, 9, initiated a family tradition now known as 'the Muffman family dinner.'
Felicity Huffman Worried Kids Would End Her Career

Thirty-eight years old when she had her first child, actress Felicity Huffman admits that she put motherhood on hold because she was worried that having kids would ruin her career. Ten years later, the mom-of-two says that her experience as a mom is actually what helped her to land her gig on Desperate Housewives.
"Both Bill [Felicity's husband, William H. Macy] and I were workaday actors and you never make any money. You're sure that your last job is your last job and there's no security to start a family," she recalls. "So I kept waiting because my idea was that children would end my career. But oddly enough, it was because of my children that I got Desperate Housewives. I was such a mess at the audition when I came in as a real mother."

Like many parents, William H Macy knows all too well the "pandemonium" of the bedtime routine.
The Fargo star tells OK! that he and his wife Felicity Huffman have a hard time getting their kids Sofia, 9, and Georgia, 7, into bed at the end of the day.
“I realize the pandemonium of the nighttime – finishing dinner, getting homework done, cleaned up, getting them into their nightgowns, reading and getting them to bed – I really miss it when I’m away. It’s a burden when you’re at home, and it’s easy to get cranky with them because we’re trying to get the whole nighttime put-down into about an hour. And it can very easily take two hours.”

Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman and her 9-year-old daughter Sofia Grace were spotted getting an ice cream and a soda in Studio City, CA on Friday (September 11). Little sister, 7-year-old Georgia Grace, and famous papa, William H. Macy, were not spotted with the blonde mother-daughter duo.
Felicity, 46, once commented on the difference between a modern mom and an old-fashioned mom:
I'll start with my definition of an old-fashioned mom: a mom who puts the needs of everyone else above hers to her own detriment. A modern mom respects herself and honors her needs on par with those of her family."
William H. Macy: Felicity Is The Sexiest Housewife

The actor tells Parade magazine that though her co-stars Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross and Nicollette Sheridan are all beautiful, none of them compares to Felicity.
“The others are sort of model beautiful women and Felicity is not a model type. But I think she's the sexiest on that show. What is sexy? It's hard to put it into words. The way she carries herself. And she keeps in really great shape. She's got the kind of body that makes me melt. She's cut. She's strong and lithe and capable. I love that."
William, 58, and Felicity, 45, currently live in LA with their two daughters Sofia, 8, and Georgia, 7, but he reveals that they may head east once Desperate Housewives comes to an end. “I think it would be good for the kids to put them in school in New York just to change things up,” he says.
