John Travolta Set To Testify In Extortion Trial

John Travolta will be testifying on behalf of the prosecution in an extortion trial involving the death of his son Jett. The trial is set to begin next week in the Bahamas according to TMZ.com.
Tarino Lightbourne, a paramedic who responded to the call for help after Jett's seizure, and Pleasant Bridgewater, a former Bahamian senator, face charges of conspiring to extort $25 million from Travolta. They were threatening to go public with a document that authorized paramedics to take 16-year-old Jett to the hospital after his seizure.
John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston are reportedly outraged by the alleged extortion plot which authorities say was concocted shortly after Jett's death.
The family has been keeping very private since the terrible tragedy and had not been seen until last Saturday (September 12) when John, Kelly and Ella promoted their Disney film Old Dogs.
The Littrells Extend Their Condolences To The Travoltas
Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell and his wife Leighanne have extended their condolences to John Travolta and Kelly Preston following the death of their 16-year-old son Jett, who suffered from Kawasaki disease, just like their 6-year-old son Baylee.
Baylee was just diagnosed with Kawasaki disease after entering the hospital with a full body rash, blisters in his throat and a 103 degree fever. Jett was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease at around age 2.
"We are so deeply touched for the Travoltas," the Littrell family told OK! in a statement. "We thought what we just went through was horrendous enough, so we can't imagine what they are going through. We want to pass on our condolences, our love and prayers."
The Travoltas returned home to Florida with Jett's ashes last night; no funeral arrangements have been made public.

The Preston Family On Jett Travolta: "He Was One Of The Most Special, Loving Boys"

As we previously reported, John Travolta and Kelly Preston's 16-year-old son, Jett Travolta, has died while vacationing with his family in the Bahamas.
Kelly's mother, Linda Carlson, briefly spoke to OK! about the loss of her beloved grandson,
"He was one of the most special, loving boys. I thank God I had time to spend with him before Christmas." Linda also released the following statement to Us magazine: "I am devastated. He was the light of our lives."
Kelly's brother, Chris Palzis, also spoke about their loss: "We're all devastated. It's definitely a bad time. That's all I have to say."
Jett reportedly suffered from Kawasaki Syndrome, a condition that often leads to heart disease. However, reports have stated that Jett actually had autism, something John and Kelly have repeatedly denied.
