Jodie Sweetin Admits To Driving Drunk With Zoie

Jodie Sweetin Admits To Driving Drunk With Zoie

Jodie Sweetin, mom of 18-month-old daughter Zoie, writes "Life isn't like a Full House episode," in her memoir unSweetined set to hit book stores on November 3. After an eight-year run as Stephanie Tanner on the ABC hit, she spiraled into a dangerous cycle of drug abuse. Now 27 and clean, Sweetin discusses the book's bombshells with Us.

On driving drunk with baby Zoie in the car: "That was the big rock bottom. I had two glasses of wine and drove with her in the car. I not only put myself in danger, but also my daughter, who I loved more than anything. I felt terrible."

On battling with second husband Cody Herpin for shared custody of Zoie: "I got sober for good on December 7, 2008. I was flying to L.A. and I ended up taking a bunch of Nyquil and drinking a s---load. When I got home, I got a call that there was an emergency custody investigation because of my drinking. From that day forward, I threw myself into going to AA and avoided people who do blow off their coffee tables. We're working on a custody agreement right now. But life is good. I'm happier than I can remember."

Jodie Sweetin is speaking out for the first time about the allegations from her estranged husband that she had a substance abuse relapse. "There are a lot of things being said about my using that are not going on right now," Jodie, 26, tells PEOPLE. "I want to make it known that I am absolutely, 100 percent sober." The former Full House star and recovering alcoholic and meth addict admits she had one relapse over the summer when she drank several glasses of wine with dinner. "I immediately called other people who are in recovery," says Jodie, who is currently in a 12-step program. "Any slip for me is not good, but I didn't let it stall my progress. I could have just not said anything and brushed it under the rug. But that doesn't help me make different choices in the future. Zoie comes first for me, as well as my sobriety." Jodie's estranged husband Cody Herpin, 31, claims she's had more than one relapse and that he's concerned about their 9-month-old daughter. "She has continuously broken her sobriety since Zoie was born," says Cody, who has filed for sole custody. "I'm worried about Zoie." Click below to continue reading...

Jodie Sweetin 'Working Hard' To Avoid Custody Battle

Jodie Sweetin 'Working Hard' To Avoid Custody Battle

Jodie Sweetin's attorney Wilma Presley says that Jodie and her estranged husband Cody Herpin "are working hard to avoid a protracted custody battle" for their 9-month-old daughter Zoie. The couple attended their first joint mediation session this week at an Orange County, Calif., court.

"They're trying to work things out regarding the sharing of their child," attorney Wilma Presley says. "As far as reconciliation as a couple goes, in family law, you just never know."

Despite recent court drama, "Jodie is doing very well," Presley adds. "She had a very nice Christmas. She had her daughter on Christmas Eve and morning, and so far, the sharing has been smooth. There haven't been complaints from either side."

Jodie is also "working hard on sobriety attending a 12-step program," as well as dedicating time to her book, an autobiography about her childhood stardom and personal struggles.

A judge ruled at a Dec. 17 hearing that custody of Zoie was to be shared 50-50, and that custodial time would take place at her parents' home where she currently lives, or if not at home, in the presence of one of her parents. Presley stressed this was not monitored custody, because Sweetin can drive their daughter alone to and from Herpin's residence.

A doctor took the stand in court today and claimed that Jodie had recently fallen off the wagon. However, he also confirmed Jodie has been in touch with her sponsor and is attending AA meetings. The doctor said she does not believe the baby is at risk at the moment. The judge also ordered both Cody and Jodie to submit to drug tests before the next hearing. Jodie Sweetin Blogs About Zoie's First Cold

Jodie Sweetin Blogs About Zoie's First Cold

Jodie Sweetin, actress and new mom, recently blogged about her 5-month-old daugther, Zoie's, first cold. All new moms can relate to the trauma of the first cold!

So Zoie has gotten her first cold this week — I guess it was bound to happen. But we’ve been to the doctor once already and we're going back again in just a little while. She’s got the stuffy nose, coughing, sneezing, the whole bit. It’s so hard to be a mom and see your little one not feeling good and know that there’s really not much you can do except wipe their nose and give them extra hugs. With her sick though, that’s definitely taken up the last couple days of our time. Cody and I did go to the release of the new EA sports game, Facebreaker. It’s a really cool new boxing game and Cody had fun since he’s really into the video games. We got a Nintendo Wii being sent to us from the event as a gift, I’m way excited for that! I want to get the workout mat that goes along with it, mix my regime up a little. And the bowling and tennis look fun too! Finally a way to play video games and actually burn a few calories while you’re doing it. There are a few other events that we were scheduled to do, but with Zoie not feeling hot, I think we may just stay home with her. I started doing a scrapbook for her too, it’s really turning out cute! While I was out running errands the other day, Cody did a page for her and put it in there. I think it’s something she’ll really enjoy looking at when she gets older. Well, it’s off to the doctor again. I think she has to get some shots today too, I think they’re worse for me and Cody than they are for her! Although it’s nothing that a lot of hugs and kisses won’t fix.

Zoie Herpin's First Fourth Of July

Zoie Herpin's First Fourth Of July

"Our weekend was pretty calm, but fun. We went to Dave Coulier's house for a BBQ on Friday and had a really nice — but hot! — time.

We took Zoie with us; it was one of the few times we were able to bring her. Usually when we are out, the evenings are so late we just can't take her along. But she was so good for us while we were there! She was hanging out by the pool and taking a nap. Zoie is such a great baby!"

She also tells all about her diet, how she's still sticking to it, and how much her family is in love with baby Zoie.

Jodie Sweetin and husband Cody Herpin had a night out on Thursday. Their 2-month-old daughter, Zoie, was being watched by a trusted sitter,
