Celebrity Parents Attend The 2010 Academy Awards

Call the babysitter, Mom and Dad have a date night!

Some of our favorite celebrity parents hit the red carpet at the 2010 Academy Awards last night (March 7) in Hollywood, Calif. Dressed in their Sunday best, celebrities such as Sandra Bullock, Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso, Jennifer Lopez and Sarah Jessica Parker and her hubby Matthew Broderick rocked the red carpet at last night's awards show.

Sandra, who won an Oscar for Best Actress for her role in The Blind Side, gave a touching acceptance speech in tribute of her beloved mother. When asked how she picked her gorgeous Marchesa gown, Sandra revealed her very special stylist: “Somebody helped me decide – my oldest stepdaughter [Chandler]. It was her favorite.” Molly Ringwald's 6-year-old daughter, Mathilda also had her say in mom's gorgeous gown: "I was choosing between two dress colors, and she decided on this. She said this was the way to go. I always listen to her, she's a 6-year-old fashionista."

Who was the best dressed? What were some of the biggest surprises? Does anyone agree that The Hurt Locker is actually better than Avatar? What about the Farrah Fawcett snub?

Check out the 15+ pictures of the gorgeous celeb parents in their fancy duds....

Kathy Ireland: "My Priorities Are Faith, Family & Being Of Service To Others"

Kathy Ireland began her career as a supermodel, well known for gracing the pages of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit editions. Now a mother of three - Erik, 15, Lily, 11, and Chloe, 6 - Kathy is an accomplished author and CEO of a $1.4 billion design company. Kathy sat down with Celebrity Baby Scoop for a candid look at her life and her faith, her new book, and how she promotes positive body image with all three of her kids.

CBS: Do you look back fondly at your Sports Illustrated swimsuit modeling days? Do you worry that these 'perfect' images of yourself will negatively affect/influence your daughter's body image and self esteem? Or how your son views women? Do you talk to your girls about healthy body image?

KI: "Grateful is a wonderful word to use when remembering those modeling days from the last century. I never thought of those images as ‘perfect’ because they were so heavily retouched. Our daughters and young girls everywhere need to understand that fashion is fine as fantasy. It is as far from reality as you can possibly get. Whenever, the opportunity arises to speak to young women and young men about body image and self esteem, the message is clear…don’t even think about trying to find it in fashion. Our girls are focused on having healthy bodies and not so concerned about ‘image.’ Our son views and treats girls and women of every age with great respect."

Kathy Ireland Speaks Out On Teen Pregnancy

Kathy Ireland, mom to three and former Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover girl (13 times), is now head of a design business that grossed over a billion dollars last year. Kathy is married to Dr. Greg Olsen and they live in Santa Barbara, California, with their three children: Erik, 14, Lily, 9, and Chloe, 5. Kathy acts as a spokeswoman for the Annual Youth Assembly of the United Nations and 'IGNITE,' a national mentoring program for disadvantaged single teen mothers. The supermodel also recently appeared on the FOX show, Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader, playing for charity. She recently sat down with Parade to discuss her latest projects. On her thoughts regarding how we should react to Sarah Palin's teen daughter who is pregnant given her work with teen moms: "First of all, that's their family issue that they’re going through right now. And every family has their challenges and their struggles. We all have them. I applaud them for how they're dealing with this. The work that I'm a part of really supports young women who are making the courageous decision to have their children. And it's not under ideal circumstances. We work to give them tools to accomplish their dreams. Oftentimes, women will give up. They think, 'Well, this circumstance happened. And so now my dreams are dashed.' But doesn’t have to be." On why teenage pregnancy is on the rise despite all of our frank talk about sexuality and birth control: "Well, that's a huge conversation. There are many elements that go into that. But life is not perfect. And in an ideal world, that wouldn't happen. But we've got to live in reality. Life is messy. Life is filled with challenges. But we can take a bad situation, and we can either go down with that or we can say, 'Look, this was not ideal, but I am going to take it. And I am going to make the most of it.' It’s important to take that knowledge and move forward."
