Lance Armstrong's Littlest Fans

Cyclist Lance Armstrong had an adorable entourage waiting for him at the finish line of the Tour de France yesterday. The 37-year-old was met at the Champs-Elysees in Paris by his mom Linda, girlfriend Anna Hansen, daughters Isabelle and Grace, 7 1/2, and sons Luke, 9 1/2, and Max, 1 1/2 months.
A 7-time Tour champ, Lance seemed to take his 3rd place finish in the gruelling 2,141 mile race in stride, saying, "It's probably a good lesson for my kids. Either to their friends or at their school, they'd say their dad never lost a Tour, and that's not always the best lesson in life. If their dad came back after a bunch of years off and finished third, that's another lesson."
Lance & Anna Are Proud Parents

Surrounded by his three children from a previous marriage, Luke, 9, and twins Isabelle and Grace, 7, proud parents Lance Armstrong and Anna Hansen were seen walking out of the Aspen hospital Saturday morning. The couple were carrying newborn son Maxwell Edward. Lance's children and his mother visited and brought pillows for the new mom.
In the early hours of Friday, the cyclist announced the birth of his son, sharing the news and pictures with his fans via Twitter and even creating an account for his newborn. Despite recent statements that he ended his engagement with Sheryl Crow because she wanted children and he did not, Armstrong appeared overjoyed with the newest addition to his family alongside girlfriend Anna Hansen.

Lance Armstrong Says Split With Sheryl Crow Was Over Baby

Lance Armstrong says that his breakup with fiancee Sheryl Crow was over babies: She wanted them, he didn’t.
Lance, 37, and Sheryl, 47, were together for just over two years before parting ways in 2006. Sheryl later called the break-up “devastating,” telling Vanity Fair, “I do think about Lance every day. And I think about his kids every day."
In his new book, Lance writes, "She wanted marriage, she wanted children; and not that I didn't want that, but I didn't want that at that time because I had just gotten out of a marriage, I'd just had kids [Luke, 9, and twins Grace and Bella, 7]. Yet we're up against her biological clock - that pressure is what cracked it."
He reveals that even couples’ counseling couldn’t help them to overcome the problem.
"If somebody wants a child - man, that's the greatest gift you can give to a woman - ... who are you to stand there and say I don't want one? So we were at different points in our lives. We were not compatible on that issue."
Sheryl went on to adopt her son Wyatt the following year. Lance is also to be a dad again – his girlfriend Anna Hansen is expecting a baby next month.

Lance Armstrong: Return To Tour De France A Family Decision

After three years of retirement, Lance Armstrong recently announced that he will return to the Tour de France as part of an effort to raise cancer awareness. Lance said that he spoke to one person in particular prior to his decision: his ex-wife Kristin,
"Quite frankly, if she had said, 'I don't support it,' or 'I'm not into it,' I wouldn't have done it," Armstrong, 37, said on Wednesday. "But Kristin has been an amazing supporter. Very flexible and just amazing with the kids. I need that from her" to do this.
After speaking with Krsitin, Lance told his 8-year-old son, with some fear that it might leak,
"I said, 'Luke, don't tell your sisters. His sisters tell people everything. But I fully expected him to tell them." However, Luke kept true to his word and then Lance told his twin girls, "I had to tell them, 'Don't go to school and tell everybody.' When it finally came out, they said, 'Okay, NOW can we tell everybody?'"
With friends and family supporting his efforts to raise awareness and funds for cancer research through the Tour de France, Lance is hoping to change the face of cancer on an international level,
"[My goal is to] change the face of the disease worldwide, to increase funding, increase education, and erase the stigma of the disease in certain cultures." He is also aiming for a big turnout at the Livestrong Global Cancer Summit in Paris at the end of the Tour de France in July.
