Lynne Spears: 'Britney's A Great Mom'
Britney Spears' mother, Lynne, says that her daughter is a great mom to sons Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2.
"Oh she's a wonderful mother – she's funny, she's extremely affectionate," said the Spears matriarch, who was promoting her memoir, Through the Storm. "[At] home, where there's nobody around, she's very normal."
She also said that Britney is recovering from her breakdown with "a lot of love and care and help," and that sometimes, "you have to just settle down. You have to stop, think. And there's a lot of people that care about Britney and love Britney – and Britney's doing great now."
Britney is on the cover of this month's Rolling Stone, available tomorrow.

Jamie-Lynn Spears got pregnant when she was 16, and 17-year-old Bristol Palin is pregnant now. But according to Jamie-Lynne's mom, Lynn Spears, the difference in the public reaction to the two girls' pregnancies couldn't be more different.
It’s a totally different reaction. It’s as if [Sarah Palin] became celebrated. I mean, the mother, Palin, was celebrated for this. Every woman in the world has applauded her strength and her convictions and poor little old Jamie Lynn—you saw how she was crucified. Everybody did, firsthand … I just feel like it’s been a very hypocritical situation.

Jamie Lynn had flown in from her home in Louisiana to Los Angeles to celebrate the birthdays of Britney's sons, Sean who turned 3 on September 14 and Jayden who turned 2 on September 12.

"Every mother makes mistakes," she writes, "and I'm no different."Lynne said although she's made some mistakes, she would still encourage her daughters to pursue stardom,
"I think you have to let them follow their dreams," she recently said. "I think it would be worse in the end if you didn't."However, she said she did not listening to her "gut" at times,
"Was I the perfect mom? No. I wanted the truth out in my own words for myself and my family." Lynne added that the book chronicles Britney's highly publicized troubles and Jamie Lynn's pregnancy at 16. Lynne said the latter, "was probably the hardest time in my life."
Lynne Sleeps Over @ Britney's With The Boys
Just weeks after the arrival of her third grandchild, Lynne Spears spent the night at Britney's Studio City home with her 2 grandsons and her eldest daughter, Britney. In town since Wednesday, Lynne and Britney have been enjoying some one-on-one time together shopping at the True Religion warehouse and Pottery Barn on Friday before enjoying a "girls dinner" of salad, sushi rolls, and fish at Bond St. restaurant. One source said Britney looked great,
"Britney walked in with a big smile and introduced her mom to the staff. She looked gorgeous, and I have never seen her in a better mood. She was laughing the whole time she was here. Britney seemed to have the best time hanging out with her mom and friends."
Here's hoping this is the sign of better times ahead for Britney and her two boys.
