Marissa Jaret Winokur: "I'd Love To Get My Claws Into Bristol Palin"

Marissa Jaret Winokur: "I'd Love To Get My Claws Into Bristol Palin"

One of the celebrity hosts of the new mom-focused daytime show The Talk, Marissa Jaret Winokur, says she'd love to have teen mom Bristol Palin on as a guest.

"I’d love to get my claws into her,” Marissa tells E! “I think it’s funny that she’s now like, ‘I’m now celibate! Follow celibacy!' It’s a little too late for that. You could be the role model for teenage moms who got pregnant too early, but you can’t be the role model for ‘I’m going to be celibate before I’m married.’ You blew it already.”

Marissa, who is mom to 2-year-old son Zev, offers this advice to 19-year-old Bristol: "I say, own up to it—that you got pregnant earlier, and it’s OK, and that you’re dealing with it and trying to get through it. I get that. But don’t get on a pedestal now and try to say how you shouldn’t do this."

Bristol recently got broke off her engagement - for the second time - to her son Tripp's father Levi Johnston.

Marissa Jaret Winokur Balances Career & Motherhood

Marissa Jaret Winokur Balances Career & Motherhood

Hairspray actress Marissa Jaret Winokur is thrilled to be a mom. The 37-year-old actress never thought she would have the chance, after an earlier bout with ovarian cancer. Luckily, she's cancer-free and has a little boy, named Zev, with her husband, TV writer Judah Miller. Zev was conceived via a surrogate in 2008.

She sat down with Betty Confidential to discuss the details of her new life as a mom.

On being a working mom: "Notice that when people see I’m not working on a show or something, they’ll say, “Oh, you’re just being a mommy now.” I’m like, “Wait, I’m a mom when I’m working, and I’m a mom when I’m not working.” I’m an actress. I’m often between jobs. My career allows me to be both a “working” mom and a stay-at-home mom."

On her new priorities: "I’m really shocked by how much I love being a mom. I’ve always been so career-focused, and as an actress I’m used to everything being all about me. Now I’m all about my son. I actually find my career and so many other things quite trivial."

On her usual daily routine: "I wake up with my son at 5:30. We have breakfast. We're usually at a music class or a play gym by 9:30. I have help during the day so I can go to work or appointments. My son and I then do something in the late afternoon, like go to a park or a playdate."

Marissa Jaret Winokur: Surrogacy Was My Last Chance To Be A Mom

Marissa Jaret Winokur is looking forward to making her 19-month-old son Zev a big brother.

“Of course,” the 37-year-old actress tells OK! when asked if she and her husband Judah Miller plan on adding to their family. “I’m actually really happy with just my one son, but I can’t imagine my son growing up without any siblings. I’m the youngest of four. I have a really supportive family. For my son, I want him to have what I have with my siblings.”

Marissa, who underwent a hysteroctomy after being diagnosed with cervical cancer at the age of 27, also opened up about her experience with surrogacy.

"Having a surrogate is a life-changing experience. At the end, you’re going to have a baby. For me, my surrogate is still in my life, my surrogate is still 100% part of my son’s life. That’s how I wanted to deal with it. Other people don’t want to deal with it.”
