Mark Ruffalo and wife Sunrise Coigney took a break from their busy workday and took their kids – ten-year-old son Keen and daughters Bella, 6, and Odette, 4 – out to dinner in New Orleans on Wednesday (February 8).

The husband and wife duo are filming a movie together in the Big Easy, Now You See Me, that also stars Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman, and Isla Fisher.

Actor Mark Ruffalo is known as one of the "nice" stars in Hollywood - and perhaps, not so ironically - he lives nowhere near the big city lights. Ruffalo, his wife of 10 years, Sunrise Coigney, along with the couples three children live on an old dairy farm in a village in New York State, nearly 3 hours north-west of the Big Apple.

Over the past 10 years the down-to-earth actor has starred in a line up of films such as Shutter Island, and Zodiac, earning him both critical acclaim and commercial success. During this time he has welcomed three children, Keen, Bella, and Odette, and has survived a brain tumor, and sadly the death of his brother in 2008.

In an interview with NPR, the actor opened up about his career, his family, and healing.

On living in a small village: "You always get to look your kid in the eye. My wife, in the eye. And as a family, it's been the healthiest thing I think we've ever done. We're always together. It's not like that in the city. Here, it's basically us and our friends, and there's nowhere to run."

On the nine-months following surgery for a brain tumor: "It was really, really hard to concentrate, to form ideas, to talk at times. Oh, it was such a bad time. So scary, man. I was in the car, and my wife was driving. I was looking at my face. I tried to move it, you know, and I saw the slightest, tiniest little twitch by my eye. We were both, like, screaming, 'Oh my god, it's moving.' And crying."

5/17/07: Mark Ruffalo with wife Sunrise Coigney arrive  for the screening of the film 'Zodiac' in Cannes. The couple expect their third child early Fall. This baby will join siblings Keen (4) and Bella (2).
