No longer a taboo act reserved for sailors, tattoos prove that skin is always in. Celebrities have led the way in increasing the popularity of permanent body art.
Susan Sarandon recently talked about getting tattoos with her three kids. A heavily inked David Beckham revealed how his sons are eager to join in the family tradition: "One of them said to me recently, 'How old do I have to be before I get my first tattoo?' I was like, 'A lot older than you are now.'" While mother-of-two Nicole Richie - who is inked alongside fiancé Joel Madden - said she'd be "heartbroken" if their kids chose to get tattooed like mom and dad.

Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas celebrated their birthdays with a family holiday in Marbella, Spain on Monday (August 9). Melanie celebrated her 53rd birthday yesterday while Antonio celebrates his 50th today!
The couple were with their 13 1/2-year-old daughter, Stella, while enjoying their shopping trip in the Spanish port. The family took a stroll around the resort and shops where Melanie eyed a few watches and jewelry pieces.
Stella is the only child for the longtime couple. Melanie also has two other children from previous relationships: daughter Dakota, 19, and son Alexander, 24.

Melanie Griffith, her beautiful 13-year-old daughter Stella and her MIL, Ana Banderas, were photographed at a Holy Week candle ceremony on Sunday (March 28) in Malaga, Spain. Papa Antonio Banderas was also spotted with the trio. How sweet is Stella helping her grandma down the walkway?!
Melanie, 52, recently spent two months in rehab. Reports state that Antonio, 49, urged her to enter rehab as he feared she was getting hooked on alcohol and sedatives first prescribed for neck pains.

Mother-daughter duo Goldie Hawn, 64, and Kate Hudson, 30, enjoyed hot cups of coffee together as they chatted while walking around Apsen, Colorado this afternoon (December 22).
The two totally striking women - who bumped into fellow celeb Melanie Griffith along their route - were bundled up for the chilly weather, with Kate in her black fur coat and Goldie sporting a fur lined jacket and boots.
Just before grabbing coffee together, Goldie and Kate were joined by Kate's brother, Oliver Hudson, and his expectant wife Erinn Bartlett. The happy foursome seemed to be having a great time, smiling & laughing as they strolled.
Just yesterday we spotted Kate and her 5-year-old son as they touched down in Aspen via private jet and again as they hit the shops for some last minute Christmas shopping along with Oliver.

Antonio Banderas and wife Melanie Griffith were spotted with their 13-year-old daughter Stella and Melanie's mother, screen legend Tippi Hedren, out for a walk in Central Park West, New York City on Sunday (November 29). Antonio looked like he was making a point about something important, and Melanie seemed to be the only one listening.
Tippi and Melanie walked affectionately arm in arm during their travels. Melanie is the only child for Tippi, 79, who starred in films such as The Birds, The Pretty Girl and Marnie.
We just saw the Griffith-Banderas' checking out the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York City from their apartment on Thanksgiving Day.

Talk about front row seats! Antonio Banderas, Melanie Griffith and their 13-year-old daughter Stella were spotted watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York City from their apartment on Thursday (November 26).
The Working Girl actress is recently back home after more than two months in rehab. Reports state that Antonio urged her to enter rehab as he feared she was getting hooked on alcohol and sedatives first prescribed for neck pains.
Banderas, 49, stated that she is doing well and they are happy as ever.
Melanie is very well and, of course, I'm not going to leave her."
