Natascha McElhone Strolls With Her Sons

Californication’s Natascha McElhone grabbed a cup of coffee from a local shop in Venice Beach, Calif. on Wednesday (July 21) with her two sons, Theodore, 10, and Rex, 1 ½.
The 40-year-old actress and her eldest son strolled together, enjoying their snacks, as baby Rex stayed hidden in his stroller.
Natascha, who is also mom to 7-year-old Otis, lost her husband of 10-years, Martin Kelly, in 2008 to a heart attack.

He's adorable! One-year-old Rex Kelly visited mom Natascha McElhone on the Santa Monica, California set of her show Californication this week (June 28).
Natascha, who is also mom to boys Theodore, 10, and Otis, 7, has written a book in memory of her husband Martin Kelly, who passed away while she was pregnant with Rex. An account of how she coped with his sudden death, Natascha says "Writing to my husband has enabled me to keep him here long enough to 'come to terms' with losing him."
The following excerpt from After You recalls the day that little Rex was born:
I cried a quick, hard sob when I arrived in the hospital room. Pulled it in, can't spend the whole of labour grieving; this is going to be a celebration.... He's here and perfect. I am so sorry you're missing this. Our little boy is so utterly divine."

Californication star Natascha McElhone took a stroll through Venice, Calif. with her 1 1/2 year old son Rex on Mother's Day (May 9). The 40-year-old tragically lost her husband, plastic surgeon Martin Kelly in 2008, while she was pregnant with Rex.
The two also have two older sons, Theodore, 10, and Otis, 7, and McElhone has said that her children help to keep her husbands spirit is alive in their home,
We talk about him all the time. There are pictures of him everywhere and his office is still exactly as it was. The boys go in there and raid it - they love the fact that they’re not going to get told off. I’ll often say to the boys, ‘That would really make Daddy laugh’ or ‘He’d be so proud of you,’ but the other day my eldest son was being trying. I said to him, ‘I think Daddy would have a few words to say to you about that.”
The couple had just celebrated their 10th Anniversary before Kelly's passing.

A little over a year after the sudden and tragic death of her husband Martin Kelly, actress Natascha McElhone tells Red magazine that he is still “very alive” in her home.
The Californication star says that she is working to keep the memory of their father strong for her sons Theodore, 8, Otis, 6, and Rex, 8 months.
“We talk about him all the time. There are pictures of him everywhere and his office is still exactly as it was. The boys go in there and raid it - they love the fact that they’re not going to get told off. Natascha McElhone totes her 7 1/2-month-old son Rex, who happily chews on her ID card, while taking in the sights and sounds of Santa Monica. The duo grabbed some groceries, then headed home Thursday (June 4).
The Californication actress, 37, has two other boys - Theo, 8 1/2, and Otis, 5 1/2.
Season three of the hit show, co-staring David Duchovny, will premiere this summer on Showtime.

Natascha McElhone and her 7-month-old son Rex were spotted out for a stroll with friends in Venice, California this morning.
The mom-of-three has described Rex as a "dream baby," saying he's been welcomed with open arms by his big brothers Theo, 8, and Otis, 5
"He's a very happy child - a dream baby," the Californication star told Hello! last month "[Theo and Otis] just adore their little brother and are forever smothering him in kisses".
Natascha's husband of 10 years, Dr. Martin Kelly, passed away unexpectedly last year, while she was pregnant with Rex.

A year after the death of her husband Martin Kelly, Natascha McElhone says that he is "very present in our lives."
"We speak about him all the time," the mom-of-three tells UK's Hello! magazine.
Natascha, 36, was expecting their third child when Martin died of a heart attack, just days after the couple's 10th wedding anniversary.
When it came time to deliver the baby, the Californication star tells Hello! why she felt she needed to do it on her own:
"It just felt right somehow. If Martin couldn't be there, I couldn't replace him with someone, as that would have felt very strange. I wanted to be on my own because that was the way it was going to be. I was going to be my baby's only parent so I may as well get used to it. But I was fortunate to have the most brilliant obstetrician. He knew Martin, so he was wonderful."
Natascha says that her 6-month-old son Rex fits right in with his big brothers Theo, 8, and Otis, 5.
"He's a very happy child - a dream baby. They just adore their little brother and are forever smothering him in kisses".
As well as being a famed plastic surgeon, Martin was the founder of Facing The World, a foundation that treats kids born with facial disfigurements.

Natascha McElhone was spotted out with a friend and her 3 sons, Theodore, 9, Otis, 5 1/2, and Rex, almost 6 months, in London on Tuesday.
Almost one year ago, Natascha's 43-year-old husband plastic surgeon Dr. Martin Kelly was found dead in the doorway of the family home by a fellow doctor. A post-mortem exam revealed the cause of death was a heart attack. Their third son, Rex, was born after Kelly's death.
