From the arrival of Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany's newest addition, daughter Agnes Lark, born via home birth, to Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady's son Benjamin born at their home in December 2009, to Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof's now 2-year-old daughter Satyana born at home, the celebs are joining the trend!

Nelly Furtado Opens Up About Daughter

Canadian singer/songwriter Nelly Furtado is putting the finishing touches on her fifth studio release, tentatively titled "Lifestyle," and recently launched her own record label among other things. The 31-year-old Grammy Award-winning artist is also a doting mom to 6-year-old daughter Nevis, who appears to have her mothers love for music. In an interview with Flare magazine, Furtado opened up about her daughters personality and taste in music, saying,
She's full of life and has a very strong will." The proud mom then added, "She's got cool musical tastes too - the other day she corrected me and said, 'I knew about MGMT before you!'"
Nevis' dad is Canadian DJ Jasper Gahunia (aka Lil' Jazz) with whom she split in 2005. In July, she will celebrate her 2nd wedding anniversary with husband, Demo Castellón.
Nelly Furtado Takes Tips From Her Daughter Nevis

Songstress Nelly Furtado reveals that she took advice from her daughter Nevis, who turns 6 tomorrow, while working on her new Spanish album, Mi Plan.
The Maneater singer, who describes Nevis as being "pretty musical for her age," says, "I had English writer's block so I decided to make an album in Spanish. I played it to my daughter and she said to me, 'Mommy there are too many slow songs. You need more fast songs.' So mommy went back to the studio and put a couple more fast songs on the album."
Nelly recently returned to work after taking some time off following the huge success of her last album, Loose.
"I took two years off after Loose,"'she tells the Canadian Press. "The first year, I literally wore rubber boots and velour track pants and stayed at home and made chicken noodle soup for my daughter. And it was fun. I loved it. It was the first break I took in eight years of being a musician."
The 30-year-old singer says that she has plans for a Portuguese album as well... eventually.
"My mother's told me she doesn't think I'll be able to record a full length in Portuguese until I'm 40 because I haven't lived enough life, and Portuguese music is very deep," she explains.
Celebrity Moms Hit The ALMAs Red Carpet

Celebrity moms stole the show on the red carpet at last night's ALMA Awards in Westwood, CA.
Salma Hayek looked gorgeous in a short dress with beautiful back detailing at the event, which was hosted by Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria.
Salma, whose daughter Valentina Paloma turns 2 next week, was honored with the Anthony Quinn Award for Industry Excellence.
"I feel very proud and moved to get this award because it's from my people, it's from the Latin people," she said.
Canadian songstress Nelly Furtado, who performed at the show, CSI star Eva LaRue and model Talisa Soto, who has kids Sophia and Mateo with actor Benjamin Bratt, were also well-deserving of the spotlight in their glamorous gowns.
