Soon-to-be big sister Ramona was spotted strolling to school in Brooklyn, New York yesterday morning with her mom Maggie Gyllenhall (January 7). With their second baby on the way, Ramona's dad Peter Sarsgaard recently admitted that he's not too sure how his 5-year-old daughter will react to having a sibling.
"I've seen kids with siblings - I don't have any siblings, so I don't know - but they generally go for about 5 minutes, 'Oh, cool! Anyways, what are we going to do now? Can we return it?" Peter said at this week's Jay-Z concert in NYC, joking that Ramona "doesn't know what she's in for."

Looking pretty in her cozy pink coat, 5-year-old Ramona caught a ride with her dad Peter Sarsgaard while out for a spin in New York City today (November 30).
Ramona, whose mom is Oscar-nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal, will soon be a big sister. A rep confirmed the happy news this week that Maggie and Peter are expecting baby #2.

Update: It's official! Maggie Gyllenhall's rep confirms to Us Weekly that she is pregnant! The 33-year-old Crazy Heart star and her husband, fellow actor Peter Sarsgaard, are expecting their second child together.

Academy Award-nominated actress Maggie Gyllenhaal and husband, fellow actor Peter Sarsgaard, enjoyed a fun day in New York City with their 5-year-old daughter Ramona on Friday (November 25). The family-of-three were spotted taking a snack break while riding their bikes through Central Park.
Watch for Maggie to light up the big screen in her latest flick, Hysteria, which also costars Hugh Dancy and centers on the invention of the vibrator.

In an interview with Movies Online, Maggie Gyllenhaal, 33, discussed her new movie, Nanny McPhee Returns. In the movie her character is distraught from running the family farm and also working at a part time job. She is taking care of five children alone because her on-screen husband, Ewan McGregor, is fighting a war and has been missing for months. She is overwhelmed and in obvious need of Nanny McPhee, played by wonderful veteran actress, Emma Thompson.
Maggie is married to actor Peter Sarsgaard, 39, and they have one child, daughter Ramona, 3. When asked whether she ever got so distraught in her real life she replied,
"I have one child. I don’t know. If I had to take care of five children, alone, and try to make a farm run, and work at a general store for some extra money, while my husband is maybe dead, I think it’s possible that it could get that crazy. Yeah. Don’t you think?"

Dead Man Walking star Peter Sarsgaard took his lively 3 1/2-year-old daughter Ramona to lunch in New York City on Tuesday (September 14). After lunch, Ramona skipped alongside daddy and a friend and did her best Marilyn Monroe impersonation on a NYC street grate. How completely adorable!
Last month, we saw the sweet father-daughter duo lunching in Hollywood, Calif.
Ramona's mother is actress Maggie Gyllenhaal, whom Peter tied the knot with last year in a small ceremony in Italy.

Some of our favorite celebrity parents hit the red carpet at the 2010 Academy Awards last night (March 7) in Hollywood, Calif. Dressed in their Sunday best, celebrities such as Sandra Bullock, Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso, Jennifer Lopez and Sarah Jessica Parker and her hubby Matthew Broderick rocked the red carpet at last night's awards show.
Sandra, who won an Oscar for Best Actress for her role in The Blind Side, gave a touching acceptance speech in tribute of her beloved mother. When asked how she picked her gorgeous Marchesa gown, Sandra revealed her very special stylist: “Somebody helped me decide – my oldest stepdaughter [Chandler]. It was her favorite.” Molly Ringwald's 6-year-old daughter, Mathilda also had her say in mom's gorgeous gown: "I was choosing between two dress colors, and she decided on this. She said this was the way to go. I always listen to her, she's a 6-year-old fashionista."

Such a sweet pair! Maggie Gyllenhaal and her adorable 3-year-old daughter Ramona were all smiles near their Brooklyn, New York home on Sunday (February 28). Papa Peter Sarsgaard was spotted just ahead of the girls.
Maggie has been nominated for an Academy Award for her role in Crazy Heart. The 32-year-old mother of one talked about how she was drawn to the script.
I had an almost 2-year old when I got the script, and I had work some [since giving birth] but not really on anything that was totally consuming in the way that I was used to working. I’d been focusing so much on my daughter and it kind of got to this point where I needed something for myself. And Crazy Heart was it. I read the script and I just really kind of got it. I really felt drawn to it."

Near the end of his relationship with fellow actor, Reese Witherspoon, Jake spoke about the joys of having children in his life.
I've learned so much from the kids in my life, and somehow they just become the center of your life and the way you look at things," Jake said. "Obviously I exist in my girlfriend's world and my sister's world in a different way, but it's opened my heart and I feel much more grown up and want to be grown up as a result of it."
