Roger Federer Wants More Kids

Between toddler twins and a busy competition schedule that takes him around the globe, tennis pro Roger Federer likely doesn't have much down time. Even so, the doting daddy says he'd love to have more kids one day.

"I hope so, I love it," reveals Roger, has 2-year-old daughters Myla and Charlotte with his wife Mirka. "Right now we have our hands full but we'll see how long I will play and how life is in a year's time and we'll go year by year. It's definitely getting a bit easier now as they're growing up."

Roger Federer's Tots Take Tiny Steps

Roger and Mirka Federer's twins Charlene Riva and Myla Rose were spotted taking tiny steps in New York City's Central Park last Thursday (September 9). The 14-month-old tots were with their grandmother Lynette Federer, who followed along with their double stroller. They quickly made friends with another baby, borrowing her ball for awhile.

The Swiss player once said about their parenting skills, "We were a bit surprised when we learned that Mirka was going to have twins, and we were maybe a touch worried that it would be really difficult and stressful, but so far it's been really easy. I think we've had the right approach. Mirka is very laid-back and I'm also a calm person, so I think all of that enabled us to handle the situation."

Roger Federer: “It's An Amazing Feeling To Be Called A Dad”

Tennis ace Roger Federer may be a pro on the court, but he admits he’s a bit out of his element when it comes to Daddy duty.

Roger, who welcomed twin daughters Charlene and Myla with his wife Mirka on July 23, tells People of double diaper duty, "Thank God nobody is judging me on it! It's hard! But I'm still trying to be good at it."

The doting dad is back to work competing in the US Open in New York, but he says he makes plenty of time for his family.

"It's been a lot of fun being a father and spending time with them," the 28-year-old reveals. "I'm hands on as much as I can because everyday is something new and something different. I don't want to miss anything."

Despite his amazing tennis career, Roger says his new job as a father is the one that means the most: "It's an amazing feeling to be called a dad. I take a lot of pride in that title."

Roger Federer's Traveling Entourage

Roger Federer's Traveling Entourage

Roger Federer's twin daughters Charlene and Myla seem destined to be world travelers - the 2-week-old girls already have stamps on their passports! First stop for the girls was Montreal, where their dad is competing in next week's Rogers Cup.

"I was obviously only going to do this if everything was safe and good," the new dad told Canadian newspaper The Globe & Mail earlier this week. "Mirka went through a check yesterday. The babies have been at the hospital for 10 days, and everything is perfect. So we're doing it. Big family. Big trip. On the bandwagon. I'm really excited to see how we're going to manage it."

Also along for the ride is a baby nurse for the newborns, though the tennis champ says his wife Mirka isn't letting her do much work!

"Mirka is really hands-on. It's great to have the help, but I think it's all been working well since we came home for three or four days. Mirka doesn't mind getting up in the night, doesn't mind feeding the babies at whatever time, changing the nappies. For her, if she can't do it, it's like she's missing out on something."

Charlene and Myla are the first kids for Roger and Mirka, who tied the knot in April.

The proud papa posted this lovely family pic on his Facebook page, along with the following message to his many fans:

"As promised, here is a family picture that my dad took. He thinks he's becoming a professional photographer. It was very funny as both girls had the hiccups while we were trying to take a decent picture. The girls and mom are doing great. Thanks for all your warm wishes."

So glad to hear the family-of-four is doing so well. Congratulations again to Roger and Mirka!
