This is a very painful, personal and private time for our family. Throughout this entire time, Elin has shown unwavering concern and support for our children. She is a wonderful mother. I know that the two of us will do everything we can to help our children adjust to this new family situation.”

Elin Nordegren To Receive $750 Million Settlement For Her Silence

It looks as though things are progressing in the complicated battle between Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren.

According to a recent report, the 30-year-old mother-of-two will receive a record setting $750 million settlement in exchange for never publicly speaking out about her estranged husband’s indiscretions with up to twenty different women. A friend of the Swedish ex-model explains:

The price of the huge sum is her silence: no interviews, tell-all books, or TV appearances about this for the rest of her life -- even if Tiger dies first -- or she'll lose the lot… Tiger’s main fear is [Elin] telling her story after he’s rebuilt his reputation, sending him back to the gutter.

The report also states that Tiger, 34, has agreed to keep single woman away from his two children – Sam, 3, and Charlie, 1 – and can only bring a new woman into their lives if he marries her.

“She is desperate to protect the children from the womanizing side of their father,” continues the friend.

Despite their differences Elin does admit that “Tiger loves his kids and has been a decent dad”, but is also “confident he will not pursue seeing the children that much, due to his work and lifestyle”.

Under their recently signed agreement, Elin is to receive sole physical custody of their two children, while legal custody will be shared between the two.

Custody Battle Between Tiger Woods & Elin Nordegren Imminent

In the months that have followed the scandal revolving around Tiger Woods and his family, there has been little progress made in repairing his damaged marriage. RadarOnline is reporting that Elin Nordegren is preparing to fight for full custody of the former couples children, Sam, 3, and Charlie, 1.

A source has revealed that the two live a mile apart and do not see eachother at all, with their nannies dropping the children off between homes, saying, “Elin used to go to Tiger’s house but doesn’t anymore. And she has her people communicate with him so she doesn’t have to.”

Of moving the children back to Nordegren's homeland of Sweden, the source adds,

Elin isn’t saying that she’s moving to Sweden but she does want full custody now. She has changed a lot since Tiger’s cheating was discovered and since he returned to golf, she’s distanced herself from him. It seems to have killed the small chance they had at reconciling.”

Nordegren has reportedly done extensive traveling since the split both with, and without her children, and has enrolled in a college class. The source adds that she is seeking $750 Million in the divorce, which has not yet been filed, and concludes, “But the real fight is going to be over the children. Tiger is not going to give up those kids without a fight.”

Tiger Woods Regrets Hurting His Family

In the wake of the shocking revelations of his repeated infidelities, Tiger Woods has been doing a lot of explaining: To his wife Elin Nordegren, his mom, his fans, the media. The embattled golf pro says he knows he will one day have to explain his actions to his children Sam, 3, and Charlie, 1, as well.

“The pain and the damage I caused my wife, my mom, my kids..." Tiger said at a press conference today. "Going forward, I am going to have to explain all [this to them] … but that’s my responsibility. I did it.”

Adding that his kids have already been hurt by the scandal, he noted that he will always regret that he had to miss Charlie's first birthday in February because he was in rehab.

“That hurts. That hurts a lot,” he said. “I can’t go back to where I was. I want to be a part of my son and daughter’s life. I missed his first birthday and [that's] something I regret and will probably regret the rest of my life.”

After a 5-month hiatus from the sport that made him famous, Tiger is making his highly anticipated return to golf at this week's Master's at Augusta National.

Tiger Woods made a public apology on Friday morning (February 19) during a televised press conference, acknowledging his "irresponsible, selfish behavior," People reports.

I want to say to each of you simply and directly: I am deeply sorry for my irresponsible, selfish behavior," Woods, 34, said at the TPC Sawgrass golf course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. "I know people want to find out how I could be so selfish and so foolish. People want to know how I could have done these things to my wife Elin and to my children. And while I have always tried to be a private person, there are some things I want to say."

The golf star added, "Elin and I have started the process of discussing the damage caused by my behavior. My real apology will not come in the form of words, but my behavior over time. We have a lot to discuss. What we say to each other will remain between the two of us."
