Heartbeat actress Tricia Penrose introduced her baby son Freddy Jay in Hello! this week. Freddy was born on 08/08/08 weighing 8lbs! He is the second child for Tricia, 38, and husband Mark Simpkin as they are already parents to 5-year-old Jake. On collapsing two weeks before the birth: “I went to Tesco to do a little shopping and I just went. I was with Mark’s mum and I remember telling her I felt really sick and strange and then the room started spinning around. The next thing I woke up lying on the floor with all these shoppers standing around me. I was taken into hospital and put on a monitor and my blood pressure had really dropped. Then I started having contractions so they gave me some drugs to stop them and eventually I was allowed home.” On finally meeting baby Freddy: “It was just an amazing feeling, to see his face and what he looked like. He lay next to me and I was completely besotted. I held him and it was such an overwhelming feeling that I started crying my eyes out.
