Violet Maye Grohl was born on April 15, 2006 in Los Angeles. Parents are David Eric Grohl an American rock musician, singer and songwriter, and Jordyn Blum.Violet Maye was named after Grohl's maternal grandmother. Earlier that year, Foo Fighters bandmate Taylor Hawkins told MTV, "We're going to be touring Europe in January and February, but we've got to be home by March, because Dave and his wife are having a baby," he said, adding, "but I probably wasn't supposed to tell you that." Grohl said that he had been playing music to his unborn child, saying she "likes The Beatles. Doesn't really get down to The Beach Boys. Digs Mozart." On April 17, 2009, Grohl and his wife welcomed their second child, daughter Harper Willow.

Rocker Dave Grohl and his wife Jordyn Blum were spotted strolling with their girls Violet Maye, 3, and Harper Willow, 2 months, after stopping for lunch at The Stand restaurant in LA this afternoon.
Announcing the birth of his newborn daughter Harper in April, the Foo Fighters frontman said, "[She's] 7 lbs. 8 oz., 20-inches long and loud as hell."
We get a sneak peak at little Harper looking pretty in pink as the family returned to the car. Adorable!

Just one week after welcoming their second daughter, Dave Grohl and his wife Jordyn Blum enjoyed a sunny day out at a Los Angeles farmers market with their two daughters: Violet Maye, who just turned 3 on April 15, and Harper Willow, who was just born on April 17. The Grohl girls are almost exactly 3 years apart!
During their visit at the market, Violet got her face painted and the family stopped for Jordyn to breastfeed little Harper.
Dave, 40, was the drummer for the infamous grunge group Nirvana. Following the death of Nirvana's frontman Kurt Cobain in April 1994, Grohl formed the Foo Fighters, where he became the frontman and songwriter.

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl took his 2 1/2-year-old daughter Violet Maye to a farmer's market in Los Angeles yesterday. It seems to be a bit of a tradition for them to head to the market and for Violet to get her face painted!
The twosome were sans wife and mom Jordyn, who is expecting the couple's second child.

Dave and Jordyn are expecting their second child together. When Dave revealed that, he also talked a bit about Violet,
"Violet loves the Amy Winehouse record," he told PEOPLE. "It's all about the 'Rehab' song. If she hears 'Try to make me go to rehab,' Violet will go, 'No no no.' I know, it's a little weird, but it's really cute!"
