Jodie Sweetin On Talking To Her Girls About Her Past Addictions

Jodie Sweetin has come a long way since her days battling addictions to alcohol and meth; something she struggled with for more than ten years. And though the former Full House actress, 29, has been very public about her history of drug abuse, having documented it in her 2009 memoir, unSweetined, Jodie isn't in any rush to share that part of her life with her two daughters, Beatrix, 8 months, and Zoie, 3.
"[My struggles are] pretty much in the past," Jodie tells People. "Hopefully, it'll never be anything my kids have to be a part of.

Full House alum Jodie Sweetin did some shopping at the Westfield Century City Mall in Los Angeles, California today with her fiance Morty Coyle and girls Zoe, 2 1/2, and Beatrix, 5 months (February 3).
The couple got engaged just last month, when Morty popped the question at Jodie's 29th birthday party.

Dressed up for Halloween, the Full House alum and her two daughters - Zoie, 2 1/2, and Beatrix, 2 months - attended the 17th Annual Dream Halloween benefiting the children affected by AIDS foundation presented by Mattel and Toys 'R Us in Santa Monica on Saturday (October 30). Jodie looked absolutely spook-tacular, while baby 'Bea' was an adorable strawberry and Zoie was precious in her Snow White costume.

Here's a mother-daughter duo we rarely see!
An expectant Jodie Sweetin held hands with her adorable 2-year-old daughter Zoie while out and about in Corona, Calif. today (August 26).
Zoie's father is Jodie's ex-husband, Cody Herpin. The Full House star is currently expecting her second child - due to arrive next month - with her boyfriend, DJ Morty Coyle.

Troubled actress Jodie Sweetin just announced that she is expecting her second child later this year with boyfriend, club DJ Morty Coyle.
The 28-year-old Full House star recently divorced her second husband, Cody Herpin, with whom she has a 2-year-old daughter, Zoie. Cody spoke to The National Enquirer about his thoughts on her pregnancy:
Raising a child takes a lot of time and patience. Jodie hasn’t put in nearly enough time with our own daughter. And now she’s having another child! I find it hard to believe Jodie will keep up her sobriety with the choices she keeps making. To have a child with somebody is no small thing. Hopefully, Morty realizes having a child with Jodie is a full-time job. That’s something I had to learn the hard way.”
Jodie recently took to Twitter to address the negativity: "Thanks for all the love:) I'm so happy and just wish that people who had negative things to say would just keep that to themselves."

After an eight-year run as Stephanie Tanner on the ABC hit, she spiraled into a dangerous cycle of drug abuse. Now 27 and clean, Sweetin discusses the book's bombshells with Us.
On driving drunk with baby Zoie in the car: "That was the big rock bottom. I had two glasses of wine and drove with her in the car. I not only put myself in danger, but also my daughter, who I loved more than anything. I felt terrible."
On battling with second husband Cody Herpin for shared custody of Zoie: "I got sober for good on December 7, 2008. I was flying to L.A. and I ended up taking a bunch of Nyquil and drinking a s---load. When I got home, I got a call that there was an emergency custody investigation because of my drinking. From that day forward, I threw myself into going to AA and avoided people who do blow off their coffee tables. We're working on a custody agreement right now. But life is good. I'm happier than I can remember."

Actress Jodie Sweetin talked to Us magazine about Zoie's latest milestones!
"She's starting to crawl," Sweetin, 26, says "And, like, babble and talk...and she's got almost four teeth on the bottom and one on the top. She's so cute!"
Jodie also commented on getting her post baby body into shape. "I've been doing NutriSystem and working out," she said. "I am the laziest person ever...I had a trainer for awhile, and he taught me a lot of stuff I could do at home and now I actually do...On Demand videos on Workout TV!" she says. "[They're], like, 20 to 30 minutes. Perfect!"
Jodie has a lot coming up in 2009. She has a book and 2 films coming out as well as a potential Reality TV show. Sweetin, a former meth addict, is busy "with the baby and my husband. My life is so full right now, so that's great," she said. "I'm so blessed."

"Halfway through the first workout, I thought I was going to throw up."
