Travoltas Make First Public Appearance Since Jett's Death

John Travolta, Kelly Preston and their 9-year-old daughter Ella Bleu attended the D23 Expo on Friday (September 11) to promote their upcoming Disney movie Old Dogs, in theaters November 25, 2009.

This marks the Travoltas' first public appearance since the death of their 16-year-old son Jett nine months ago.

Us reports that Travolta addressed the crowd: "I always appreciate the audience's love for me," the 55-year-old seasoned actor said. "I hope they love Old Dogs as much as we do because I've got my baby in it," Travolta continued, referring to his daughter's film debut.

Old Dogs also stars funnyman Robin Williams. He and Travolta play old friends and business partners who find themselves forced to care for 7-year-old twins (played by newcomers Ella Bleu Travolta and Conner Rayburn) leading to one debacle after another.
