Natalie Portman & Family: A Farmer's Market Affair

Little Aleph is too cute!

Thor actress Natalie Portman was spotted perusing around a local Farmer's Market in Los Feliz, Calif. today (January 8) with her fiancé Benjamin Millepied. The couple's adorable 7-month-old son Aleph - who was dressed in a striking blue one piece outfit and a pair of socks - got a ride from dear dad as the trio made their way around the market.

The actress - who has dropped out of the Hollywood lime light since the birth of her son last year - has reportedly agreed to shoot a documentary about the benefits of becoming a vegan.

According to author Jonathan Safran Foer, Natalie approached him last summer about bringing his novel Eating Animals to the screen.

"She contacted me, she told me that she loved the book, " he states. "I know her now. I will help her eventually but it will be her vision. She’s only at the very beginning."

Although Natalie has been a vegetarian since childhood, she credits the Eating Animals book as the catalyst to becoming vegan in 2009. When pregnant with adorable Aleph, the Black Swan actress abandoned her vegan ways and switched back to vegetarianism.

"I actually went back to being vegetarian when I became pregnant, " she reveals. "Just because I felt like I wanted that stuff.

She continues, "I was listening to my body to have eggs and dairy and that sort of stuff. I know that there are people who do stay vegan. But I think you have to just be careful, watch your iron levels and your B12 levels and supplement those if there are things you might be low in in your diet."

Honey, I think if you're going to use big words like *ugly*, you should learn to spell them. It's okay, they'll probably teach you that in fourth grade when you get there.
