James Hetfield & His Metal Munchkins

Metallica singer and nine time Grammy Award-winning musician James Hetfield was spotted rocking out on the red carpet with his gorgeous group at the premiere of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island in Hollywood, Calif. on Thursday (February 2).

The iconic guitarist - in true rock fashion - flashed the classic metal sign as he posed with his wife of 14 years Francesca and their three blonde haired babes Cali, 13, Castor, 11, and Marcella, 10.

James - who has openly expressed his disdain for politics and celebrities who "soapbox their opinions" - spoke out about his feelings on global climate changes after Metallica played at Live Earth back in 2007.

"I really avoided the press around the Live Earth day," the 48-year-old One singer states. "I didn't quite agree with what was going on there."

Politics drive me crazy, and I don't like talking politics. Politics get in the way of things; they get in the way of getting things done, and getting our music across is what we wanna do — we don't wanna cloud it with 'Democrat, Republican,' whatever. Our philosophy is 'think for yourself' at the end of the day — do what you think feels right. I really believe that humans will survive. I have a lot of faith in mankind that we will overcome and adapt — whatever it is; whether it's man-made or God-made, or Earth/Mother Nature — we have a lot of smart people on this planet that will make something good out of bad."

Marcella's hair is so long! It's funny how lopsided the pigtails seem to be hanging in the front. I'm sure it's because of the
way it is parted, but that would drive me crazy. Oh well, not my
Child, not my business. :)

WOW at the younger girl's hair! I don't think I've had my hair half as long as that in my entire life, ha.
