Russell Crowe, his wife Danielle Spencer and two sons Charlie, 4 1/2, and Tennyson, 22-months, did a little shopping at Roots in Beverly Hills on Tuesday. I remember reading somewhere that Russell loves to shop - the boys are really cute, and surprisingly Charlie is walking.

Perhaps the Crowe's thought they might actually be able to shop without paparazzi around to make them worry about Charlie's safety....
I don't understand the snarky comment about Charlie walking.
It's dangerous for an inquisitive and lively child to be "on the loose" when there are paparazzi photographers in the vicinity. The papz are known to call out to the kids, trying to get a reaction.
This, and the fear of kidnapping or strangers approaching the children, is the main reason celebrity parents hold the children or push them in strollers out when out in public.
