Tried, Tested & True: Waterpark Fun In Your Backyard

For my sons 1st birthday we received the Soak ‘n Splash Animal Park by Fisher Price. This week has been especially warm and it seems the only steady thing bringing some relief from the heat, and providing hours of fun is this mini waterpark I have set up in my yard! There are three pieces that are attached in alignment with a hose system and connect to the garden hose. Turn on the faucet and the fun begins!

Ellen & Portia Are “Happily Married Without Kids”

Ellen & Portia Are "Happily Married Without Kids"

They were voted the celebrity couple that parents would most trust with their own kids, but it seems that children aren’t in the plans for Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi.

“No, I don’t think we’re going to have kids,” Ellen tells AOL’s Inside/TV. “We have animals, and we love them. They don’t talk back, and they don’t explore their vocal chords out in public.”

The couple have talked publicly about parenthood in the past, with Portia, 35, telling People last year, “We go back and forth. I don’t know if it’s our immediate future. It’s something we talk about every few months.”

But Ellen, 50, says now that though they’ve decided against kids of their own, they’re having fun being “brand new aunts!”

“[Portia's] brother and his wife just had a baby girl who’s a month old now, and it’s fun to be a part of that. But no, I think, you know, we definitely thought about it. And it’s something I think most people, as a relationship goes on, explore. But it’s just a huge responsibility, and I don’t know that that’s something we want to take on. We’re very happily married without children.”

The pair will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary in August.
