Watch what you say about Ben Affleck! Director Kevin Smith says that Ben’s protective wife Jennifer Garner threatened to “kick his a**” after he poked fun at the State of Play star.
Kevin, who worked with Jen on the 2006 flick, Catch & Release, told a crowd at Carnegie Hall this week how the mom-of-two came to her husband’s defense.
“Jennifer does not share the same sense of humor as me – she did not like my jokes. I was picking on Ben Affleck and making fun of him because I’ve known him for a really long time – I was talking smack – and Jennifer goes, ‘You know, if you keep saying stuff about him, I’m going to kick your a**.’ And she could – I’ve seen Alias. She has a real girly sense of humor and didn’t understand that I was kidding.”
Kevin insists he’s actually a saint compared to Ben when it comes to telling jokes. Describing the actor as “one of the most intelligent people on the planet” he goes on to say, “I remember talking to Ben and being like, ‘I know your lady is not finding me amusing. Ben, I’ve known you for years, and you are far sicker than I am!’ His jokes are way dirtier than mine. He’s made jokes to me, and I’ve been like, ‘Ben, you need to go to church.’”
Jen and Ben, who are parents to daughters Violet, 3, and Seraphina, 5 months, will be celebrating their 4th wedding anniversary later this month.

With Father’s Day just around the corner, President Barack Obama took some time to reflect on his years as a father to his two daughters Malia, 11, and Sasha, 8. The 44th US president, who was raised by a single mother, recently penned a letter to his daughters. The following is an excerpt:
It is rarely easy. There are plenty of days of struggle and heartache when, despite our best efforts, we fail to live up to our responsibilities. I know I have been an imperfect father. I know I have made mistakes. I have lost count of all the times, over the years, when the demands of work have taken me from the duties of fatherhood. There were many days out on the campaign trail when I felt like my family was a million miles away, and I knew I was missing moments of my daughters’ lives that I’d never get back. It is a loss I will never fully accept.
Obama also reflects on his ideals as a father: “I think back to the day I drove Michelle and a newborn Malia home from the hospital nearly 11 years ago… I think about the pledge I made to her that day: that I would give her what I never had—that if I could be anything in life, I would be a good father.”
The president’s letter will run this Sunday in Parade Magazine.

Humanitarian couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt made a $1 million donation to Pakistani refugees yesterday. In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Jolie discussed how the couple are raising their children.
Some of my kids are from countries that have seen conflict. I usually just explain to them that there are other families in the world that aren’t as fortunate as ours and other kids. And so I tell them that it’s important for all of us to do what we can and then go to these places and understand what’s happening. So I think they’re just being raised that this is the normal thing to do… Hopefully I’ll take them to as many countries as I can and raise them with an education of the world.
Angelina recently spoke out about World Refugee Day: “Most of all they are survivors… They are the most impressive people I have ever met.”
She and Brad are proud parents to Maddox, 7, Pax, 5, Zahara, 4, Shiloh, 3, and twins Knox and Viv, 11 months.

Here comes the bride! Mom-to-be Kendra Wilkinson had her bachelorette party last night!
The Girls Next Door star celebrated her upcoming nuptials to NFL player Hank Baskett at Guys and Dolls in LA. Kendra and Hank will be exchanging their “I Dos” at the Playboy Mansion on June 27th.
It’s going to be a memorable year for the couple – not just a wedding, but a new baby, too! Hank recently revealed that he’s been pitching in with the wedding prep to give his nauseous bride-to-be a break, saying, “I am trying to take care of most of what I can so I can take it off of her shoulders. I want her to enjoy this wedding, because if she’s happy, I’m happy. That’s all that matters.”
Kendra and Hank’s baby is due on Christmas Day.
