Rumor: Angelina Jolie To Adopt From Syria

Rumor: Angelina Jolie To Adopt From Syria

Angelina Jolie is dominating tabloid covers this week, with US and Star bringing up the old Jennifer Aniston drama, Life & Style proclaiming her a “total fake” and OK! revealing that she’s getting set to adopt her 7th child.

It’s the adoption rumors that seem to be getting the most attention as the Tomb Raider star has reportedly already started the process to adopt a child from Syria. Angie and her partner Brad Pitt took a trip to the country just last month, visiting with refugee families and children in the region.

Angelina has made no secret of the fact that she plans to expand her family, but although Brad has also seemed on board with the idea of more kids, OK! reports that he’s not ready to bring home another baby just yet.

“He has made it clear that six children are more than he can handle,” the magazine quotes a source as saying. “The idea of one more seemed ludicrous, but Angie is determined to complete her rainbow family.”

Brad and Angelina are already parents to kids Maddox, 8, Pax, 5 1/2, Zahara, 4 1/2, Shiloh, 3 1/2, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 1.

Jerry Seinfeld: Stand-Up Is Second To Family

Jerry Seinfeld: Stand-Up Is Second To Family

Jerry Seinfeld and wife Jessica – parents to Sascha, 9, Julian Kal, 6 ½, and Shepherd Kellen, 4 – have kept their priorities straight. The 55-year-old comedian opened up to UK’s GQ about putting stand-up second to family, working with the cast of Seinfeld again, and his daughter’s inclination toward the funny side of life.

On if the funny gene is in the Seinfeld DNA: “Watching my kids, especially my daughter, it does seem to be in the DNA somewhere because I see her falling asleep with these big joke books. She’s eight years old – she can read anything, why’s she reading jokes? I think it’s somewhere in the biology.” [Editor’s note: Sacha just turned 9 on November 7]

On stand-up being second to fatherhood: “Yeah I’m doing everything! That’s another great thing about stand-up – you can take time off when you want to. It’s like being a plumber. You can work when you want to. I get to roll around with them [the kids] all the time – it’s fantastic.”

Amanda Peet’s Daughter Saved Her From Doomsday Depression

Amanda Peet's Daughter Saved Her From Doomsday Depression

In the new doomsday flick 2012 Amanda Peet plays a mom trying to save her kids from the end of the world. In reality, the 37-year-old actress says she has more immediate concerns – like “global warming and wars,” and making sure her daughter Frances Pen, 2 1/2, stays on the right path.

“I have a daughter, and it helped to come to her after a day of filming one disaster after another because she was just wanting me to read The Cat and the Hat or whatever,” Amanda tells Parade magazine. “That definitely kept me from getting too depressed. I’m trying not to think about what the world will be like when she grows up. I think more about when is she going to start drinking and wearing a g-string and how can I stop those things from happening.”

Speaking of g-strings, Amanda also opened up about baring all on screen – and why she refuses to be a slave to the gym.

“I have an inner conflict. I’ll be at the gym and I’ll start thinking, ‘What am I doing? I’m going to sag no matter what I do.’ I’ve certainly taken my clothes off on camera, but you have body make-up and special lighting,” she says. “I mean, someone with a figure like Jennifer Aniston has a trainer, a cook spinning out some version of the latest diet, and probably a stop at the tanning salon. Then teenage girls go, ‘God, I wish I could look like that.’ Maybe they wouldn’t if they knew what it took.'”

Peter Facinelli: Skype Keeps Us Connected

Peter Facinelli: Skype Keeps Us Connected

Peter Facinelli, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the Twilight movies, has fans bloodthirsty with anticipation for the November 20 release of his upcoming film New Moon. The father to three daughters with 90210‘s Jennie Garth – Luca Bella, 12, Lola Ray, 6 1/2, and Fiona Eve – sat down with New York Kids for a look into his busy life.

On if the Facinelli household is on Team Edward or Team Jacob: “When I asked my three-year-old what she liked about Twilight she said Edward.”

On how he balances family life and work: “Any minute I have off, I try to get home. Last year I flew into L.A. on a Friday morning, picked up my kids from school, put up the Halloween decorations, had dinner with them and got back on a plane that night to go back to film. But it was worth every minute that I got to spend with them. I try not to go more than two weeks without seeing them even if it’s only for a day. And we also have Skype. At least we get to see each other! Sometimes we’ll even eat dinner together. I’ll be eating ramen noodles and they’ll be having a wonderful home-cooked meal.”
