New mom Kelis has taken to Twitter to boast about her new little man.
“Ok so I did it, he’s 7.8 pounds of the greatest stuff on earth” says the 29-year-old singer.
“I was in labor for 3 of the longest most painful days of my life. I don’t understand when women say they don’t remember giving birth. I will remember for the rest of my life.”
Kelis gave delivered her son at a New York hospital on July 22.
Knight’s father, Nas, 35, was recently ordered to pay nearly $40,000 a month in support to Kelis, who filed for divorced from the rapper in April. The couple had been married since July 2003.

With her daughter Honor’s first birthday behind her, Jessica Alba recently took some time to reflect on her new life as a mom.
The 28-year-old actress chatted with Fit Pregnancy magazine about the first year with her baby girl, saying, “Life moves so fast as a new mom. Sometimes I wish time would slow down.” I’m sure many parents out there know exactly what she means!
The Fantastic Four star admits that she underestimated just how hard it would be to keep up with both her career and her kid!
“It’s a lot more difficult to juggle motherhood and a career than I ever anticipated. So busy! And Honor is more mobile now than ever before and loves putting just about any foreign object in her mouth. I have to be a constant watchdog.”
Asked what advice she’d pass on to other first-time-moms, Jessica recommends trying to find the middle ground between trusting your instincts and learning from other moms who’ve been there, done that.
“What works for you may not work for others and vice versa. I have also found that it’s more useful to stop and listen than to try and always have the answers.”
Jessica and her color-coordinated cutie Honor are seen here leaving the Newsroom Café on Robertson Boulevard in LA today.
What’s your best tip for new moms?

Julia Roberts flashed her famous smile yesterday on the set of her new film, Eat, Pray, Love, in New York.
Though she loves life at home with her husband Danny Moder and their “happy kids” Hazel and Phinnaeus, 4 1/2, and Henry, 2, the 41-year-old Pretty Woman star recently said that she won’t retire from movie-making all together because she feels that work “recharges” her.
“I still find it fun making movies. I jokingly say that it’s fun to spend time with people who are more than three and a half feet tall. Going to work recharges me on a whole different level. When I come home to my family, I’m more enriched. When you’re a mum, so much happens within the confines of your home, so when you venture outside for a while, it adds to the colours of your life.”
Based on the best-selling book by Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love also stars Oscar-winner Javier Bardem. Can’t wait to see this one!
