Cool mom alert! Teri Hatcher recently gave her 12-year-old daughter Emerson Rose the surprise of her life.
I got her a chance to get a picture with Justin Bieber,” Hatcher told PEOPLE. “That was a highlight, and I scored some big points with her. I told her, ‘That’s it, nothing else until your wedding. There’s nothing between Justin Bieber and after college.'”
Besides being a cool mom, the 45-year-old Desperate Housewives star is also busy launching her new website GetHatched, which she describes as “a chick’s guide to life.”
During the launch last night, the busy mother-of-one talked about the importance of trying to balance career and motherhood. “There are times when I really need to separate those – just be the worker or just be the mom,” she says. “Too often, I think, women try to do everything at the same time. I have friends that are technically driving their kids to school but also looking at their BlackBerry and trying to deal with office messages.”
That kind of multitasking, she says, causes unnecessary stress on everyone. “The stress on the kids and yourself, and not being able to be there for anybody wholly at the moment, is a disservice to us, and I think we are better off compartmentalizing. It’s hard, but it does work for me.”
Kourtney admits that Scott “got a little crazy” that night. Dave asked how long they’ve been together, and she proceeded to tell the audience about Mason’s conception.
We’ve been together for four years, and we broke up for six months. We had a little hookup late one night, and it resulted in my beautiful son.”
“That’s nice, that part’s nice, but it seems like he might have a little punk in him,” Dave said. Kourtney assured Dave and the audience that he’s improving himself. “He has been working on that problem.”
When asked for her input on Scott, Khloé replied, “It’s the golden rule. If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.”
