Julia, who is mom to twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 4, and son Henry, 20 months, reveals that the secret to her kids agreeing to eat their greens is getting them to help grow them.
The 41-year-old Duplicity star recently talked about the family’s organic garden at their home in New Mexico.
“The children love it and I think it’s the best training for them. I think when children know their food sources they’re more inclined to eat what they’re growing because they’re so proud of it. To watch my kids eat kale is a pretty proud moment for me as a mom.”
Julia’s busy home life doesn’t leave her a lot of time for movie-making these days, but as she points out, “when you’ve got three toddlers in the house you’re performing all day long, anyway, with puppet shows and stories – I act around the clock.”

It will be double the fun for Julie Bowen and husband Scott Phillips. The Boston Legal actress is expecting twins, PEOPLE reports.
Bowen’s rep confirmed today that the couple, who have been married since 2003, will welcome twin boys this spring.
The new babies will join brother Oliver Mclanahan Phillips, who will be 2 in April.
Update: Reps for both Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have denied that Nicole is expecting, Access Hollywood reports.
See the original story below…
Nicole Kidman has made it no secret that she and husband Keith Urban would like to have more children. Now, after a recent trip to Japan to promote her film Australia, Nicole has everyone talking, after caressing her belly in nearly every photo on the red carpet.
It wasn’t very long ago, when daughter Sunday was only 4 months-old that the same rumors were swirling, to which Kidman brushed off, “No, I just have a little tummy.”
If Kidman is in fact pregnant, the new baby will join Sunday Rose, and her two children with ex-husband Tom Cruise, Isabella & Connor.

On wanting more kids: “Since I was little, I knew that I wanted to have children. I’m the oldest of eight kids, and I have always liked the idea of a big family. I love my siblings, and I loved growing up with all of them. Having a big family has always been very important to me, and I would hate for my kids to not be able to experience that. Mark and I would like to have more eventually.”
On losing the baby weight: “I wasn’t in any hurry to lose the pregnancy weight. I did lose it, but only once I put my mind to it. I am lucky to have really good genes; my mom is super-skinny after having all of us. I found that after having Mason, as soon as I stopped breastfeeding it was easier to drop the extra pounds. When you’re trying to feed your kids healthy food, you take better care of yourself. After I had Brady, I began eating healthier right away. I was also chasing around a very active 2-year-old, which meant constant calorie burning.”
