Courtney Love Loses Legal Control Of Frances

Courtney Love Loses Legal Control Of Frances

Courtney Love has lost legal control over her 17-year-old daughter Frances Bean Cobain, TMZ reports.

In papers filed Friday at Los Angeles Superior Court, temporary guardianship was granted to Wendy O’Connor and Kimberly Cobain, mother and sister of Frances’ late father, Kurt Cobain.

The guardianship is for both Frances’ personal and financial well-being. However, the guardians will not have control over the trust that was created for Frances after her father’s death.

This isn’t the first time Love has lost legal control of her daughter. In October 2003, Frances was ordered to live with Wendy O’Connor following Love’s arrest for an attempted break-in to her ex-boyfriend’s home, a drugs overdose and a suicide threat. It wasn’t until January 2005 that Love regained custody.

Pete Wentz & His Backpack Babe

Pete Wentz is a hands-on dad! The 30-year-old rockstar was spotted toting his adorable 1-year-old son, Bronx Mowgli, in a baby backpack on Monday (December 14) in New York City. Pete did a little grocery shopping with his son as wife, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, prepares for her play, Chicago.

Pete recently said that he loves daddy duty.

I just spent the last weekend – Mom was rehearsing for Chicago – being Dad without a nanny, without Mom, and didn’t burn the house down. So I’m pretty excited about that.”

Anika Noni Rose “Thrilled” To Be Zahara’s Royal Role Model

Anika Noni Rose "Thrilled" To Be Zahara's Royal Role Model

Anika Noni Rose is thrilled to provide a voice to Princess Tiana, Disney’s first black princess, in the acclaimed new animated flick The Princess and the Frog. It sounds as though the Dreamgirls actress will have a couple of big fans in Angelina Jolie and her 4 1/2-year-old daughter Zahara.

Speaking to OK! last year, mom-of-six Angelina noted, “There still isn’t a Disney princess that’s African and it’s very difficult because our daughter’s getting into princesses right now and it upsets me.”

Anika says she’s happy that Zahara will now be able to “know herself as a princess.”

“It’s wonderful,” the 37-year-old Tony-winner tells OK! “I think every little girl should be able to feel themselves the princess. I think every little girl is worthy of having a princely young man, and vice versa. It’s really thrilling that Zahara will never have a moment where she didn’t see herself in that light. She’s Ethiopian. She comes from kings and queens. She should certainly know herself as a princess.”

The Princess and the Frog nabbed the top spot at the box office this past weekend.

Bobbi Brown: “My Family Is Everything To Me”

Bobbi Brown: "My Family Is Everything To Me"

Renowned makeup artist, Bobbi Brown, is well known for her successful line of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. The 52-year-old entrepreneur and mother of three boys is also proudly promoting her father’s new children’s book, Flights of Marceau: Race to the Rescue. Bobbi sat down with Celebrity Baby Scoop to discuss her father’s new book, what family means to her and some of her best makeup advice.

CBS: Your father Joe has a new children’s book called The Flights of Marceau: Race to the Rescue. Tell us about the book. And how did this come about – has this always been a dream of your father’s?

BB: “When I was little, my father used to tell me and my siblings stories about Marceau, a NYC taxi driver who used to go on all of these great adventures, talk to animals, and travel. We loved these stories.

After he retired, I found manuscripts of some of his stories that he’d written years before, so I decided to get them published for him as a gift for his 70th birthday. I published the stories in a book and put the books in a bookstore in Telluride. When we walked by the bookstore, he saw them in the window and was shocked—he had no idea I had done it. That was the catalyst that got him storytelling again because everyone wanted his book.

He had always dreamed of being a children’s author, and now he is living out this dream. You never know where life will take you. It wasn’t until he retired from being a successful lawyer his whole life that his true passion was revealed to him.”
