Grammy Award-winning singer Alanis Morissette shared a stunning underwater baby bump photo via Instagram Tuesday. “You have to be extra gentle around ladies because they are the most helpful people in the world ’cause they make persons,” reads the quote from her 5½-year-old son Ever.Read More
In the wake of their parents’ imminent divorce and their reality show cancellation, the Gosselin kids – 9-year-old twins Mady and Cara, and 5-year-old sextuplets, Joel, Leah, Alexis, Hannah, Aeden and Collin – are gearing up for their Christmas celebrations. They are not, however, expecting anyone dressed in red to be shimmying down their chimney.
“They don’t believe in Santa Claus,” a friend of the family tells Us. “Mady and Cara ruined it for the sextuplets and told them a few years ago that Santa wasn’t real, and that their presents come from Mommy and Daddy.”
It looks like the kids are also spreading the bah humbugs to the rest of the community: “The sextuplets are the ones at school who tell the other kids there’s no Santa Claus.”
However, St. Nick or no St. Nick, Kate Gosselin and her brood have been busy decorating for the holiday season – including a 12-foot-tree in their family room.
Natalie Portman plays a mom on the big screen in her new flick Brothers; it’s a role the very talented actress says she’d like to take on in real life, as well.
“I feel like I’m coming into my womanhood, and I’m less afraid or maybe I’m just getting old,” Natalie tells Parade magazine. “I think about having kids, but I think you can’t plan for that sort of thing. It’s not like you can work at it.”
The movie, which centers around a mom-of-two dealing with the apparent death of her husband at war, presented a challenge that the 28-year-old star was happy to take on.
“It was such a fantastic opportunity because so many parts written for females my age are just, like, the cute, girlish love interest. To get to play a real woman who’s really strong and a good mother was really a great opportunity. It was not that challenging to be mother-ish because I have the most maternal mom in the world. So I’ve had a role model for my entire life.”
Brothers also stars dad-of-two Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal.

What I want to do in this five-part series is look after you,” says Jamie. “Hold your hand, give you my tips and my shortcuts, my ducks and my dives and really focus on the basics of the best turkey, the best gravy, the best potatoes and then the veggies, snacks, party food, puds and drinks. And if we do this together, I promise you this is going to be one of the best Christmases you’ve ever had – so welcome to my Christmas!”

Listen up parents of picky eaters! Once a model for Donna Karan and Calvin Klein, Catherine McCord traded in her stilettos for an apron and headed to culinary school. When her first child was born, the model mom noticed a lack of great recipes for children and she created weelicious. The mom of two – son Kenya, 2 1/2, and daughter Chloe, 8 months – sat down with Celebrity Baby Scoop and dished it out: get your kids involved in the entire process, from the market to the plate! Read below for some great tips on how to get even the pickiest of eaters to enjoy food and hear about Catherine’s journey from the catwalk to the kitchen.
CBS: You are mom to 2 1/2-year-old son Kenya and 8-month-old daughter Chloe. How has motherhood changed you? What is your favorite part of motherhood? Most challenging?
CM: “All the cliches are true. The day I had Kenya, it made me selfless. Before, I was so wrapped up in what was important to me. Now it’s all about what makes my family happy, which in turn makes me happy. Believe me, I have a lot more respect for my mother now that I’m a mother myself. Funny how that happens!
My favorite parts of motherhood are those unplanned moments when my son wraps his arms around my neck and says “I love you so much” or when my daughter crosses a developmental milestone and I’m there to see it happen. That to me is heaven.
