It’s going to be another boy for Jenna and Bodhi Elfman!
A rep for the Accidentally on Purpose star confirmed the news today that the couple, who announced the pregnancy last month, are expecting a baby boy.
Earlier this week Jenna reported that their 2-year-old son Story Elias is already proving himself to be a great big brother:
I’m not sure if he gets the whole boy or girl thing exactly, but ‘baby’ he gets. He’s awesome. He gives my tummy a kiss and gives it a bottle and puts the blankey over my tummy and goes, ‘Baby, night-night.'”
Shedding 82 pounds has empowered The Biggest Loser contestant Abby Rike to begin healing after losing her husband and two children in a tragic car crash.
Dropping the weight, though, was easy compared to the nightmare she’s endured since a speeding driver crashed head-on into her family’s minivan, killing her husband Rick, 33, and their two children: Macy, 5, and Caleb, just 2½ weeks. In one of the most inspirational stories this year, Abby sat down with Life & Style to talk about her amazing journey from sorrow to success.
On drowning her grief in food: “My only real socialization was going out to eat. I had zero energy. I just felt like I had sludge in my veins. I was so lethargic.”
On learning to live through the grief: “You can’t bury your two children and the love of your life and think, Oh, I’m just going to be okay. You can’t help what happens to you, but you can choose how you respond to it. My journey was more about finding out where I fit into the world. For me it was truly about healing from the inside out.”
On how losing the weight was like shedding her grief: “Losing weight is kind of like shedding the sadness and hurt and emerging stronger. My life will matter again.”
On her life before the wreck in October 2006: “I wouldn’t have traded lives with any human on the planet because my life was the best.”
On her life after the accident: “After the wreck, all my roles were gone. I wasn’t a wife anymore. I wasn’t a mother anymore. I was broken and falling apart inside. There were pieces of shrapnel where my heart used to be — it was shattered.”
If you are a mom-to-be or if you know someone who is currently expecting their first child, The Laugh & Learn DVDs are a must have.
Sheri Bayles has been teaching classes for over 20 years and after watching her Laugh & Learn programs, it is easy to see why they have become the #1 DVD classes for pregnant couples in America.
The first program in this series, Laugh & Learn About Childbirth (2 DVD set) is split up into 6 fun, 45 minute sessions which include:
Anne Heche and her 7 ½-year-old son Homer were photographed at Michael Jackson’s This Is It premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday (October 27). Anne’s lookalike son gave the paps quite a look as he posed with his mama at the Nokia Theatre.
Legendary film star Elizabeth Taylor was one of the first to see her late friend Michael Jackson’s final performance in This Is It. The 77-year-old actress tweeted that it’s the greatest film of all time:
It is the single most brilliant piece of filmmaking I have ever seen. It cements forever Michael’s genius in every aspect of creativity.”
Do you plan to see This Is It?
In August, The View co-host Elisabeth Hassebeck gave birth to son Isaiah, who joined siblings Grace, 4, and Taylor, 23 months. Liz’s boss Barbara Walters couldn’t help but ask if she has any plans to get pregnant again.
No, I don’t,” Elisabeth said Monday (October 26) on Barbara Walters’ SIRIUS XM radio show, Here’s Barbara. “If something happened and I was pregnant again … I don’t know how that would happen, because I’m clearly avoiding my husband,” Elisabeth jokes of her former NFL quarterback hubby, Tim Hasselbeck.
But staying away is tough according the the 32-year-old mother-of three. “He’s so cute. This is the problem … he’s very cute.”
Asked if she’s ever heard of birth control, the conservative mom replied, “Yeah, I have. It takes a while to kick in once you start one. But in the meantime, I just find him incredibly attractive. So, it’s not like I’m that disciplined, so right now, my strategy is dressing in a way that will not get me pregnant. Nothing too cute. I’m trying to wear nothing too revealing.”
