It sounds like music mogul Jay-Z has babies on the brain.
According to the New York Daily News, the 40-year-old rapper, who is married to Single Ladies singer Beyonce, reportedly let it slip during a recent interview with Gotham magazine that “procreating is high on the duo’s priority list right now.”
This isn’t the first time the power couple has talked about kids, though in the past they’ve hinted that starting a family isn’t in their immediate plans. Earlier this year after attending an event for the Boys and Girls Club, Jay-Z admitted, “There was a lot of children in there. I don’t know if you’ve been around a lot of children, but it doesn’t really give you the itch. I actually ran outta there.”
Things seem to be going well for the pair, who started dating in 2002. At last week’s MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin, 28-year-old Beyonce said backstage after picking up her statue, “There is only one person I want to thank, and that is Jay for putting a ring on it.” Cute!
If a baby is on the way for Beyonce and Jay-Z, they may very well decide to keep the news under wraps; after all, it took months for them to finally confirm their lavish wedding last year!
John Travolta and Kelly Preston have broken their silence since the death of 16-year-old son Jett earlier this year, USA Today reports.
In his first interview addressing Jett’s death, Travolta says that he and Kelly, along with their 9-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu, are far from being healed. But almost daily religious counseling sessions seems to be helping. “We’ve been working very hard every day as a family to heal. We have our own way of doing it, and it has been helping.”
Travolta says he has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from friends, fans and Hollywood colleagues. “You need your friends a lot in times like that,” the 55-year-old Pulp Fiction star says.
Travolta is opening up now in order to focus on Ella Bleu’s feature-film debut in Old Dogs – which Kelly and John also star – hitting theaters November 25.
We decided it was OK to come out and promote, to introduce her to the world and to give her a beautiful future in film,” Travolta says. Preston adds the “outpouring of love from, really, worldwide has been extraordinary. It’s been our friends, our family, our church. We partake in spiritual counseling pretty much daily. It’s a tricky thing,” she says. “Sometimes, something that’s right for the moment is not right the next day. Being with people who are important to you, being with people that you love, I think that’s what has primarily helped us the most. Sometimes, being alone, too.”
Katie Holmes and her 3 1/2-year-old daughter Suri were spotted arriving from Boston at the 30th street heliport in New York City on Sunday (November 8). Suri carried a princess umbrella as she walked alongside the bodyguard.
The mother-daughter duo just arrived from Beantown where they were visiting papa Tom Cruise on the set of his new film, Wichita. The pair are now back in New York where Katie is filming The Romantics.View Slideshow »»
Levi Johnston is getting ready to take legal action to gain joint custody of 10-month-old Tripp – his only child with his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend Bristol Palin.
Bristol, daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, and Levi were engaged to be married before their relationship came to and end in March.
Levi told The Insider that he will be seeking joint custody at the end of November 2009 because the Palin family is apparently making it very difficult for him to see his child.
It’s not working. I’m done. It’s going to have to go to court. They just finally pushed me over the edge.
The relationship between the Palin family and the Johnstons has taken a particularly nasty turn over the last few months, especially after Levi’s Vanity Fair interview where he dished on the inner workings of the Palin household.
Sarah also voiced her opinion about her would-be son-in-law posing for Playgirl, saying, “Those who would sell their body for money reflect a desperate need for attention and are likely to say and do anything for even more attention.”
