Jodie Sweetin, actress and new mom, recently blogged about her 5-month-old daugther, Zoie’s, first cold. All new moms can relate to the trauma of the first cold!
So Zoie has gotten her first cold this week — I guess it was bound to happen. But we’ve been to the doctor once already and we’re going back again in just a little while. She’s got the stuffy nose, coughing, sneezing, the whole bit. It’s so hard to be a mom and see your little one not feeling good and know that there’s really not much you can do except wipe their nose and give them extra hugs. With her sick though, that’s definitely taken up the last couple days of our time. Cody and I did go to the release of the new EA sports game, Facebreaker. It’s a really cool new boxing game and Cody had fun since he’s really into the video games. We got a Nintendo Wii being sent to us from the event as a gift, I’m way excited for that! I want to get the workout mat that goes along with it, mix my regime up a little. And the bowling and tennis look fun too! Finally a way to play video games and actually burn a few calories while you’re doing it. There are a few other events that we were scheduled to do, but with Zoie not feeling hot, I think we may just stay home with her. I started doing a scrapbook for her too, it’s really turning out cute! While I was out running errands the other day, Cody did a page for her and put it in there. I think it’s something she’ll really enjoy looking at when she gets older. Well, it’s off to the doctor again. I think she has to get some shots today too, I think they’re worse for me and Cody than they are for her! Although it’s nothing that a lot of hugs and kisses won’t fix.

“She stayed by his side almost the whole time. It was so cute — Francois-Henri was carrying the baby, smiling, and playing with her. He obviously adores Valentina.”

Mexican actor, Ernesto Laguardia, 48, and his wife, Patricia Rodríguez, 27, have announced they are expecting another child.
“Yes, I’m very happy, and so grateful. We’ve been hoping for this. We always wanted to wait a little while, because it’s better for the first child, and for the mother as well.”
They don’t know the sex of the baby, but Ernesto is hoping for a boy,
“We think it’s going to be a boy, because Bárbara doesn’t want to be around her mom right now. She always going around with me, and that’s instinctive and normal in children, and they can feel and perceive what’s going on.”
The baby will join big sister Bárbara, 11 months.

Dannielynn Hope Marshall Birkhead turned 2 years old on September 7th – and she’s on the cover of this week’s Us Weekly, where here dad, Larry, spoke to the magazine about raising Anna Nicole Smith’s baby girl,
“When I take pictures of her she likes looking at them just like her mom did,” Birkhead tells Us. “Some days I think she looks just like her.”
Dannieylynn had surgery earlier this year to correct her strabismus – the turning of one eye – and even though she may have to have another surgery, she’s doing well,
“The surgery went very well,” he says. “We still patch her [eye] to make sure the eyes stay equally strong — they’re still adjusting.”
Larry also said that fatherhood has definitely turned him into a bit of a worrier,
“I think about life in a different way,” he reveals. “I had kidney stones and was in the hospital for a week in July. I was freaking out thinking, If something happens to me, Dannielynn is by herself. I’m all this little one has left.”
“I’m so paranoid medically with what we’ve been through,” Birkhead tells Us. “If she has a sniffle: straight to the doctors. Anna had a fever when she passed away.”
The magazine also adds that she loves Elmo and singing. The issue is on newstands this week.
