Expectant parents Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza seemed in great spirits yesterday as they were spotted out and about in New York City (May 5). Mario, 36, has more than a new baby on the way – he also has a new health and fitness book titled Extra Lean on the shelves. The health-conscious dad-to-be talked to PopEater about his hopes for a “chubby, healthy” babe and his plans for another book – on fatherhood!
On Courtney’s pregnancy: “She’s doing great. We’re five months along, and she’s looking great, feeling great. I’m trying to feed her as often as I can. I’d love a chubby, healthy baby. We’re very excited!”
On feeling some first-time father nerves: “I was actually looking for a book for a first-time father and couldn’t find one. I’ve decided I’m going to write one of my own. Guys want to help, too. There are tons of book for moms, but dads want to know what’s going on with the lady and the baby both emotionally and physically.”

“My kid is so funny. She always pretends that she has to go to work. I have an office at Sony and every time my kid starts packing up and putting stuff on her jacket, I say: “Where are you going?” She’ll reply: “Work!” And I’ll say: “Where are you working today?” And she’ll reply: “Sony.” So I’ll ask her if she’s writing and she’ll say: “Making a movie…” So, she knows I make movies.”- Adam Sandler
“I call her ‘Fifty Fifty Sadie. When she’s nice to Aniston, I’m in a good mood. When she’s nuts I’m like, ‘Sadie, come here for a minute. That’s Aniston! It’s fine.'” Adam Sandler joking about Sadie’s relationship with co-star Jennifer Aniston.
We often hear of Angelina Jolie‘s philanthropic missions, however this mama is far from alone when it comes to giving back. Actresses Chandra Wilson, Alyson Hannigan, and Julie Bowen are all advocates for various charities, along with a long list of many others.
Working Mother has complied a list of celebrity moms who are making good of their celebrity status:
Mom-of-three Chandra Wilson: Joined the Downy Touch of Comfort program which delivers personalized, hand-made quilts to children staying in Children’s Miracle Network hospitals throughout the country. Of the program the Grey’s Anatomy star says, “As a mom, most of my life focuses on caring for my children and making sure they are safe and secure wherever they may be. It brings me a great deal of joy to be a part of this program and know that Downy is partnering with these wonderful organizations to help children feel more comforted and at ease in an unfamiliar and sometimes intimidating place.”
Mom-of-two Kristi Yamaguchi: Launched the Always Dream Foundation which partners with local organization across the country to help children in many different situations improve their lives and do what might not have been possible without this special kind of support. Of the organization Yamaguchi says, “I realize that the dreams and accomplishments I have fulfilled are a direct result of my family’s nurture and love. While I have been supported in the pursuit of my dreams, I realize that such opportunities do not exist for all children. For that reason, I felt the desire to create an organization whose sole purpose would be to inspire and embrace the hopes and dreams of children.”
