Tom & Connor Cruise Compete @ The Box Office

Tom Cruise’s 14-year-old son Connor will have a slight advantage on his father at the box office this holiday season. As we reported back in April, Connor Cruise landed his first movie role in Will Smith’s new flick Seven Pounds, which opens tomorrow. Just six days later on December 25, Tom’s new movie Valkyrie hits theaters.

Connor, playing a small supporting role, is one of two children from Tom’s marriage to Nicole Kidman. Tom and Nicole also have a 15-year-old daughter, Isabella.

Huffington Post reports that Tom is very proud of Connor’s acting gig: “Who knows what he’s going to do?” Tom said. “He’s grown up on [acting]. I’ve always had my kids there, in hair and makeup, just always around the sets. They’ve worked on sets.”

Tom went on to say he’s played acting class games with all three of his children, and they’ve often watched him develop characters. The 46-year-old superstar recalled the day he drove Connor to his audition for Seven Pounds as a “great father-son moment.” Tom and Will Smith, who are close friends, were in the room when director Gabriele Muccino asked them to leave: “[Muccino] looked at me and Will, and Will and I were like, `How’s he doing?’ And the director just said, `Out!’ So we were standing in the hall for about half an hour or something, wondering, `What’s going on in there? What’s happening?’”

Clearly Connor did something right – he got the part! Connon plays a young Ben Thomas, Will Smith’s character, in the movie. Which movie would you rather see – Tom or Connor’s?

David and Victoria Beckham and their three sons – Brooklyn, 9, Romeo, 6, and Cruz, 3 – landed at the Heathrow airport in the UK today. The family moved to the US from Spain last year so David could play soccer for the LA Galaxy – maybe they’re planning on spending the holidays with their family in the UK?

    Julianne Nicholson Expecting Second Child

Law and Order: Criminal Intent star Julianne Nicholson and her husband, British actor Jonathan Cake, are expecting their second child together, her rep confirmed to Entertainment Weekly. The new baby will join brother Ignatius, 15 months.

And as for whether the pregnancy will be written into the show, no one has decided yet.

“At this point, there is no definitive plan,” says the rep. “The writers are weighing various options.”

They may choose to go the route they did in 2006 when Mariska Hargitay was pregnant with son August, shooting around her belly and using her maternity leave as a chance to slot in guest stars.

    The Trumps Cover Page Six

Donald Trump Jr., wife Vanessa – who is pregnant and due in February – and their 19-month-old daughter Kai are on the cover of this Sunday’s Page Six magazine, where they talked Christmas traditions, presents, and how Christmas day is full of laughter.

Donald Jr. on his Christmases as a child: “When I was little, as unconventional as my family is, I don’t know that our Christmas was that different other than [the fact] that we were on the top of Trump Tower. We’d run downstairs and jump into our parents’ bed, just like everyone else. Then we’d go over to our grandparents’ place in Queens and do lunch.”

Donald Jr. on how his father, Donald Trump, likes to celebrate Christmas: “He’s a blue-collar guy with a big balance sheet. He wants a burger, he wants to eat his turkey and bacon—he doesn’t want to have soufflés. He grew up in Queens and while he may have the fancier side of his life, when it comes down to it, he just wants to watch football on the holidays.”

Donald Jr. on re-gifting presents: “Look, I’ve been re-gifted presents that I’ve given my family. You know, they’re like, ‘Oh, great, thanks!’ and then you end up getting it back the next year. It’s like, ‘You know I gave you this to you last year right?’ And they’re like, ‘No, it’s a different one!’”

Donald Jr. on his desire to instill charity in his children: “Vanessa and I both grew up with the understanding that we were incredibly fortunate to be in the positions that we were in. I think we’ve got to try to instill that in the generations to come.”
