British beauty Rachel Weisz thinks that it’s impossible to really describe what it’s like to be a mom.
“People tell you about motherhood and you think, yeah, yeah, whatever,” the Oscar-winner says. “But it’s something you have to experience for yourself to know what it is. It’s impossible to talk about it in any sensible way without sounding ridiculous. It’s a tremendous experience.”
The 39-year-old star of The Lovely Bones hopes that her 3 1/2-year-old son Henry Chance doesn’t follow in her footsteps (“I hope he’s not an actor – I’d dissuade him as hard as I could,”she says) but it sounds as though it may be in the genes!
“His dad brought him in after a matinee [of her recent play A Streetcar Named Desire] to watch the curtain call and he figured out bowing and getting claps,” she says. “So, yesterday, he put on his policeman’s outfit and bowed. That was the show.”
Though she calls her family her “greatest joys,” Rachel says she and her beau Darren Aronofsky aren’t in any rush to have another child.
“I don’t know. Not right now,” she says when asked about another baby. “I’m very busy and there’s so much I want to do. I feel I’m just getting going.”
Faith Hill – 42-year-old country superstar born to the name Audrey Faith Perry – opened up to OK! about her busy life, the last romantic thing hubby Tim McGraw did for her and how their three girls – Gracie, 12, Maggie, 11, and Audrey, 8 – are discovering the music of Michael Jackson.
On her latest favorite moment with her 3 daughters: “Watching them discover the genius of Michael Jackson. They’ve been absolutely obsessed with him; they dress up like Michael and then film themselves — it’s quite incredible!”
On the last romantic thing Tim did for her: “This morning, before I got up, Tim had set up an area where I could go and do my work for the day; that was very romantic to me.”
On her last workout: We [just moved into a new home in Franklin, Tenn.] after building for three and a half years. I haven’t had much time for anything else, but I’ve certainly been working out doing that!
On her last indulgence: “I’m sure it had to do with a piece of furniture for our new house.”
On being starstruck: “The first time I met Aretha Franklin, I actually cried. When you listen to someone as much as I’ve listened to her [and then meet her for the first time], I guess that’s normal. I was kind of surprised by my reaction. She inspires me to this day!”

New mom Jennifer Hudson is gearing up to celebrate her first holiday season with her favourite new man – her 4-month-old son, David Daniel Otunga Jr.
“I need to make it great for him,” the 28-year-old Dreamgirls star tells PEOPLE. “I just want to make it as exciting and fun for him and it was for me. And I want him to have this feeling each time this time of year come around. Whatever that is, that’s what I want to make my tradition.”
Recently, the proud new mother and self-proclaimed “holiday fanatic” recently appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and gushed about getting ready for her son’s first Christmas: “I’m going to go crazy,” she told Oprah. “He’s very aware, but he’s so young and it’s his first Christmas, so you have to go all-out.”
For Jennifer, Christmas is all about spreading joy and celebrating with loved ones:
It hurts me so when I see people like, ‘Whatever, Christmas is just another day’. I’m that person who’s going to go over there and get you into the holiday spirit. And that’s how I’ve always been.

Michelle Branch and her 4-year-old daughter Owen are looking forward to their favorite holiday tradition: Baking!
The 26-year-old singer tells People that she and Owen have a blast together in the kitchen.
“Once I had my daughter, Owen, I enjoyed baking that much more,” she says, “It’s such a mother-daughter thing to do. It all comes down to being with family and doing something for your family. I think that’s why we get an urge to bake at the holidays.”
Owen, who Michelle reveals is a “really great spatula-licker,” already has dreams of a career in cooking.
“[Owen]’s mentioned before, ‘Mama when I grow up, I want to be a mama and a chef.’ Not that I’m going to push her, but I’m like, ‘Please, be a chef!’ When I’m old and you’re taking care of me, I’ll eat very well.”
