It is believed that the 29-year-old delivered her baby today in a New York Hospital after going into labor yesterday morning.
The father, Kelis’ estranged husband Nas, 35, was not allowed to be present at the birth, confirms his lawyer.
A source said: “Nas is in New York City, anxiously awaiting the arrival of his son. It was his intention to be there for the birth, but unfortunately he has not been allowed to be present. While this is clearly heartbreaking to him, Nas continues to offer his support and love to his new baby boy and his mother.”
No further details have been released.
Kelis filed for divorce from Nas back in April, citing Irreconcilable Differences.
You may remember this sling from a few weeks back when we featured a post of Jennifer Meyer, wife of Tobey McGuire sporting it while carrying the family’s newest member. From the moment I saw this sling, I knew that there was no way I could miss out on the opportunity to let it shine in the review spotlight. Have you ever come across anything so gorgeous? Serena & Lily have always had a penchant for creating beautiful pieces, but the Peacock Sling takes the cake.
This one piece baby carrier is very easy to use, and is simple to care for, simply throw it in the washing machine! Not only is it stunning to look at, but it is also kind to baby’s skin, with the lining made up of 100% Organic Cotton Jersey. The Serena & Lily Peacock Market Sling holds double purpose; it has the same classic features as the older Market Slings, and as a bonus it is a gorgeous centerpiece to your outfit.

With just a week to go until the big day, model mom-to-be Angie Everhart says she is ready to meet her baby boy, who she’s already named Kayden Bobby.
There’ll be no waiting around for her son’s arrival – due to a back injury, Angie has a c-section scheduled.
“Would I have preferred to deliver naturally? Of course,” she tells People. “But it’s not an option for me.”
Not only is Angie, 39, about to become a first-time-mom, but she’ll be doing it on her own. Saying that the baby’s father is a “good friend,” she reveals that she’ll be raising her son as a single mom. It’s sure to be a lot of work, but Angie seems to be taking it all in stride. Well… almost!
“I’m not nervous,” Angie insists, before adding, “The only time I got shaky was when my girlfriends gave me a stroller and I’m standing behind it thinking, ‘There’ll soon be a human in there that’s coming out of me!’ ”
For now she’s just anxious to meet her little guy, whose “safari rock ‘n roll” themed nursery – featuring a mural of a giraffe wearing headphones and a monkey playing a Van Halen guitar – is ready and waiting for him. “I was never one for pastels,” Angie laughingly admits.
Best of luck to Angie as her big day approaches!

Tindy, who was orphaned after his father died of AIDS and his mother went missing, fled Rwanda during the genocide and ended up, alone and homeless, in London. He met the Stranger Than Fiction star at a Christmas party for the Refugee Council in 2003, when he was 16 years old.
“He’s such a lovely, enchanting boy so I said, ‘Come and spend Christmas with us’. And he came for half the day,” Emma recalls. “Slowly, he became a sort of permanent fixture.”
Emma and her husband Greg Wise “informally adopted” him and he was soon living with them and their young daughter Gaia.
Now 22, Tindy said upon receiving his degree that he has “been from hell to heaven.” He plans to pursue a career as a human rights lawyer.
