Jodie Sweetin, best known for her role in Full House, has just begun a new role as mom, and as a blogger for OK! magazine. Jodie and her husband, Cody Herpin welcomed their daughter, Zoie, 6 1/2 weeks, in April. Jodie shares how she is trying to lose the last 25lbs gained from her pregnancy,
“I’m using NutriSystem as my food program, I’ve been doing it for about two weeks now. I really love it! Good food, I feel full and I can stick to it without feeling like I’m on a “diet.”
Then this week I started with a personal trainer, Joshua Love, wow! He worked with me once this week and I’m still sore. But it feels really good to start being active again, it’s so easy to fall behind when you’re pregnant.
On the days he’s not here, I do nearly an hour of cardio on my own. I can’t wait to keep writing for OK! about my journey back to being in shape. This will be one challenging trip!”
We can’t wait to read what Jodie has to say in the coming weeks!! I’m sure a lot of new mothers can relate to her!

Actress Liv Tyler graces the cover of the new June/July issue of Cookie magazine. Inside she talks about her life as a mom to 3 1/2 year-old Milo and what’s she’s learned from her own childhood. Here’s some highlights:
On what Milo thinks of Mommy’s job: “Milo thinks, ‘My mommy works at night.’ And he thinks her office is a trailer, “He’ll point out motor homes along the road and say, ‘That’s where my mommy works.’ The implication, well…” She trails off with a laugh.
On her latest acting job on The Incredible Hulk:“It was the hardest film I ever worked on,hours-wise,” Liv said she frequently pulled all-nighters and got home at 7 a.m.—just in time to have a cuddle with Milo, make him breakfast, and sleep a little before doing it all over again.
On balancing motherhood and acting: “Liv took the first year of Milo’s life off from acting and has recently come back to film making, making four films in the past two years. Milo is always on set with Liv. The 30 year-old actress said her role as motherhood does not affect the roles she chooses: “Whenever I hear actors say that, I think, Wow, they must really be in demand! I’m still trying to figure it all out. [Modeling and acting] are what I’ve done since I was 14, so it’s not like I have another option. But the balance can be hard for me, because for my whole life, my dream was to be a mother.” Liv goes on to say she tires “to embrace that we live like gypsies a little bit,” and enjoys showing Milo the world through her job. “We go somewhere for three months at a time, and we make friends and get to see a whole new place. It’s very special in a way.” Liv believes in consistency as much as possible: “My philosophy is that we’re the ones who go to him in the night and when he wakes up in the morning – and those are the most important moments in a young child’s life.”
On daily living and what Milo’s into: “Liv says their lives revolve around making morning smoothies, reading (Hairy Maclary’s Bone is a favorite), and playing music (he likes a toy piano). He’s obsessed with helicopters, Scooby Doo, trains, animals.
On her hopes for Milo’s future: “I’d love for him to have pets and chickens to take care of. And I want to give him all the tools to be the best man he can be. For me, so much of that has to do with being in nature and really using your hands when you’re a kid.”
On her own childhood: “Liv said she had “so much love” in her early years. While she is the daughter of model Bebe Buell and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, she spent her younger years with her aunt and uncle in Maine (“My mom was around, but she was young and struggling”). Later, she lived with her grandparents in Virginia and her mother in New York. Because of Steven’s wild lifestyle in Liv’s early years, Buell looked to another father figure for her daughter and Liv was raised to believe musician Todd Rundgren was her dad. She knew Steven only as a friend of the family. Prior to her teens, Liv figured out the truth when she noticed the resemblance between herself and Steven’s other daughter, Mia. “I’m still working through my issues, which I always will be,” Tyler says of her early years. But parenting has also given her a new perspective, “I had the ideas we all had as teenagers, of Well, I’m gonna do it this way. Then suddenly you’re living it, and you have a lot more empathy for every other parent in the world.”
