I’d like to introduce you to Heidi and Nicole, our newest contributors. Both have been longtime readers of Celebrity Baby Scoop, and we’re thrilled to have them on board.
Heidi is a busy work at home mom to two young boys, Cooper, 19 months, and Sawyer, 4 months, as well as the creator of Oh Simple Baby, an online store offering environmentally friendly and healthy baby products. She has always been an avid reader of Celebrity Baby Scoop, and loves writing about celebrity pregnancies and babies. Heidi lives with her husband and sons in the cottage country area of Ontario, Canada.
Nicole lives in Arizona with her family and three dogs and will (hopefully!) start college this fall, on the way to becoming a lawyer. She has loved celebrity babies for three years and loves spending time surfing the blogs and looking for adorable pictures and interesting news. Her other guilty pleasure is the TV show “Supernatural” – and occasionally a good episode of “Top Chef!” Some of you may know Nicole from the comments section, where she loves a good debate.

TruKid is the all natural skin and hair care line for babies to big kids. A two-time award winner from Disney’s iParenting Media in 2008, TruKid is committed to making truly all natural products. This means NO Parabens, SLS or Phthalates and nothing artificial. They didn’t forget about the environment either. All product formulas are biodegradable and all bottles are recyclable. The line includes sunscreen, soaps, moisturizers, face and body wash, shampoos, lip balms and even an on-the-go “Hero Stick” to treat cuts and boo boos.
TruKid is completely mommy-created and owned by founder, Jennifer Adams Bunkers, mother of SIX! Jennifer noticed that there weren’t a lot of organic children’s products on the market, and the ones that she tried smelled “yucky” according to her kids. All TruKid products are organic and lightly scented with a citrus essential oil blend which both parents and kids rave about.

Joe’s dad is Kate’s husband, director Sam Mendes – best known for his debut film, American Beauty. Mendes directs Kate’s latest movie Revolutionary Road co-staring her good friend Leonardo DiCaprio, based on Richard Yates’ 1961 novel. It is slated for release in December, just in time for Oscar consideration. Mia’s dad is first husband Jim Threapleton.

The Spiderman franchise has been lucrative for actor Tobey Maguire, but he almost gave it up over a single contractual disagreement – over daughter Ruby Sweetheart, 22 months. The Times Online reports that Maguire was willing film Spiderman 4 and 5 back-to-back over a 6-month period next year – but only if Sony agreed to early mornings and evenings off so he could play with his “favourite blonde”.
However, Sony, who owns the rights to the Spiderman franchise, is supposedly wary of allowing “family time” for fear it would set a precedent, and Maguire was almost replaced. Finally, the company chairman, a mommy herself, Amy Pascal, stepped in saying that “six months without family time would not be fair on any parent.”
“Tobey admits he is obsessive-compulsive about everything he does, and raising Ruby is no different,” a friend said last week. “There’s no way Tobey would allow work, no matter how well paid, to get between him and Ruby, and Sony realised that.”
