Samantha Harris is planning a birthday celebration for her soon-to-be 1-year-old daughter, Josselyn,
“To think that a year ago, before the Dancing season premiere of season five, I was giving birth, and how quickly a year goes, it’s fun. Seeing her smile and giggle, and learn new things each and every single day – it’s incredible how quickly at that young age.”
In honor of Josselyn Sydney Hess’s first birthday this Tuesday, Samantha is planning a fun afternoon at the spa,
“We’re going to have a little party at a place that’s a kids’ spa. She’s a little young for the mani-pedi, so I think we’re just going to have some fun Fisher Price toys to play with, and a lot of other toddlers coming. It will be her first time having cake and ice cream. It will be fun for pictures.”
After spending the summer working as an E! correspondent, visiting family in Minneapolis, and enjoying every moment with Josselyn, Samantha, 34, is back to work this fall on the seventh season of DWTS, where she plans to take Josselyn along,
“I brought her to the Dancing set when she was about five months old, and I hope to bring her back this season as well. She already has a tutu, so she’s ready to tango. Wait a second – you don’t tango in a tutu, but she’ll find a way.”
Samantha also commented on her plans for a second child,
“I come from a two-kid household, I think having siblings is a wonderful thing. Thankfully, things are so busy with Dancing with the Stars and E!, that it’s a really exciting time in my career. I think down the line it’s something we’d love to expand the family. But right now we’re just enjoying Josselyn and the time getting to know her as she grows up a little girl.”
Tom Cruise carries his 2-year-old daughter, Suri, after arriving by helicopter in New York. Tom is in town to support his wife, Katie Holmes, at the broadway preview opening of her play All My Sons on Thursday September 18.
Is the Crocodile Hunter’s 4-year-old son looking to get his own wildlife TV show? In a segment of Australian’s 60 Minutes this week, Bob Irwin was seen wrestling a (little) crocodile, cradling reptiles and filming a potential TV pilot. Crikey!
Steve Irwin’s widow, Terri, says Bob is just like his late father,
“He’s a little Steve clone.”
Bob refuses help from his big sister Bindi, 10, who already has her own wildlife show on the Discovery Kids channel,
“I’m mister independence,” Bob says, refusing help from his celebrity big sister.
Terri Irwin says Bob and Bindi have normal childhoods and she doesn’t believe it’s unusual that the family watches a Steve Irwin DVD each morning,
“It’s comforting and familiar. It’s nice while we’re having breakfast to hear Steve’s voice in the background. It’s special.”
Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray in an accident two years ago while filming his own wildlife show.
