Kelis & Knight Arrive In LA

Kelis & Knight Arrive In LA

New mom Kelis arrived at Los Angeles International Airport in California yesterday with her 5-month-old son Knight (January 12).

The Milkshake singer, who split from husband Nas shortly before their birth of their baby boy, recently talked about the very best part of her daily routine as a mom:

Waking up at five in the morning and seeing that Knight’s awake and he’s got this bright, sunny, delicious face looking at me like, “Good morning mom.” It’s literally the greatest thing to wake up to and it tickles me every time. I adore him.”

Matthew Broderick: Fatherhood Is “Basically Improv”

Matthew Broderick: Fatherhood Is "Basically Improv"

Life got even busier this past summer for big screen and Broadway star Matthew Broderick when he and his wife of 12 years Sarah Jessica Parker welcomed their twin daughters Marion and Tabitha. The hands-on dad-of-three – son James Wilke is 7 – chats to Parade magazine about fame and fatherhood, and insists of the latter, “I’m just making it up as we go along.”

On what he’s learned about fatherhood: “The father thing is basically improv. I’m just making it up as we go along. I love being a father, but I don’t have any advice about it. I guess I could say the same thing about my marriage, basically. It just develops and changes and I’m very lucky with who I ended up. And we’ve been together a pretty long time.”

On the challenge of twins: “They sleep through the night now. And, basically, they’re very easy to take care of. But they had colds over Christmas and they would wake up every two hours coughing. It’s really hard because one would hear the other cry and start crying too, so that was absolutely exhausting. But I won’t lie, we have plenty of help because you can’t really handle them alone.”

Kourtney Kardashian: “I Really Don’t Miss My Old Life”

Kourtney Kardashian: "I Really Don't Miss My Old Life"

While Kourtney Kardashian was a staple on the social scene last year, nowadays she is just as happy to be at home with her boyfriend Scott Disick and their 4-week-old son, Mason Dash.

I’m just loving all the time with him,” Kourtney, 30, tells Life & Style. “I really don’t miss my old life. I can’t imagine life without Mason now.

Kourtney is the first to admit that her life has changed drastically since becoming a mom. “I used to get up and literally not stop until at least midnight. I really don’t miss my freedom at all — there’s nothing I’d rather do than be home with Mason and Scott. We relax, eat, sleep, play. Our biggest plans now are taking Mason out for a stroll or giving Mason his first bath. It’s amazing how fulfilling those things are for me.”

Scott says that Kourtney wasn’t always so sure about motherhood.

She was definitely scared before she had Mason, asking, ‘Am I going to be a great mother? Am I going to love this baby as much as I should’” Scott, 26, says. “And that all went out the door. She’s just ridiculously good with Mason. She’s perfection. It’s made me fall a little bit more in love with her.”

Sarah & Bristol Palin: “We’re Glad We Chose Life”

Sarah & Bristol Palin: “We're Glad We Chose Life”

Bristol Palin was faced with an unplanned pregnancy at the young age of 18. After giving birth to her son Tripp in December 2008 — and broke up with her boyfriend, Levi Johnston — the reality of single motherhood quickly set in.

I remember sitting on a black recliner, just bawling my eyes out,” Bristol tells In Touch. “I was just rocking Tripp to sleep because he had been screaming for so long. I was just like, ‘What am I going to do? This is as bad as it gets.’”

Though raising an infant has been challenging, Bristol has the unconditional love and support of her family, including her mother Sarah Palin. Just a year earlier at the age of 44, Sarah carried her son Trig to term, even though she was told during a sonogram that he would be born with Down syndrome.

The mother-daughter duo are sharing their unique experiences of raising baby boys together under the same roof. “The last few years have been unreal and surreal,” Sarah says.

Shannon Miller: “I Was Intimidated By Everything, Except Being On The Balance Beam”

Shannon Miller: "I Was Intimidated By Everything, Except Being On The Balance Beam"

Shannon Miller is the most decorated gymnast, male or female, in U.S. history with 7 Olympic and 9 World Championship medals. Now mom to 2 1/2-month-old son Rocco, this 32-year-old former Olympian is trading in her passion for the balance beam to help new moms balance their lives with a series of fitness DVDs and a prenatal cookbook. Not to mention her kids marathon to help raise awareness for childhood obesity.

Shannon sat down with Celebrity Baby Scoop for a look into her life as a new mom, her experiences as young Olympian and the beauty standards placed on female gymnasts.

CBS: You and your husband, John Falconetti, are new parents to 2 1/2-month-old son, John Rocco. How is motherhood so far? What are the biggest challenges? The greatest rewards?

SM: “Our son was born on October 28th at 7 lbs, 11 oz. And he is absolutely our pride and joy! I love being a mom and John is such a wonderful dad. It truly is a miracle how a baby changes your life. Things that seemed so important before take a back seat to Rocco’s smile. I love reading to him and kissing him. He is going to be so embarrassed by his mom! Mostly it’s just an adventure.

In the beginning the biggest challenge is getting sleep. Everyone tells you to nap when the baby naps……yeah right! You’re too busy doing a million other chores, working or just staring at him. It’s so important to take time for yourself or you’ll go crazy.

I’m ridiculous when it comes to schedules. I absolutely love them. So a big challenge is fitting my schedule and Rocco’s together so everything gets done. It’s become a game for me and when I check everything off my list I feel like I won.”
