Vanessa Paradis: Johnny Depp Is The Love Of My Life

Vanessa Paradis: Johnny Depp Is The Love Of My Life

It’s rare we get a peak into the personal lives of notoriously private lovebirds Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, but the French beauty shares a bit about their relationship in a new interview with the UK’s Sunday Times.

“I’d wanted to be a mother for a long time, but with him I couldn’t avoid it,” Vanessa says of her longtime love. “He was, and still is, the love of my life.”

The pair have never married – though the interviewer notes, “the chunkiest thing about her is the ring on the fourth finger of her left hand, made up of more than half a dozen small diamonds” – but they have been together for 11 years and are parents to kids Lily-Rose, 10, and Jack, 7.

“Maybe I’m a good girlfriend because I’m his girlfriend. I’m not sure I’d be a good girlfriend to anyone else. There is a lot of friendship between us, respect and admiration,” Vanessa says of her relationship with People magazine’s recently re-crowned Sexiest Man Alive. “We’ve understood that if we want it to carry on working, it’s essential to give each other space. You don’t eat the same food every day, you don’t read the same book or listen to the same record over and over again. You have to discover things for yourself.”

Sarah Jessica Parker Doesn’t Want To Create A “False Sense Of Reality” For Her Children

Sarah Jessica Parker Doesn’t Want To Create A “False Sense Of Reality” For Her Children

Did You Hear About the Morgans? star Sarah Jessica Parker says she had a much different upbringing than the one her own children, with husband Matthew Broderick, are experiencing.

“It’s very hard to raise children in this world and not give them a false sense of reality,” she tells Mirror. “Our circumstances are very different from my childhood in terms of concerns.”

“We don’t have problems paying the phone or electricity bills,” she adds.

The busy mom-of-three says she is “inspired” and “admiring” of women who “are working and raising children, and doing it with far less than [she] has”:

I see a lot of working women all over the world who have to juggle those two things. My children are the most important thing to me – the fact they are loved and that I have created a healthy, nurturing life for them.

Kim Clijsters Donates Prize Money To Children’s Hospital

Kim Clijsters Donates Prize Money To Children's Hospital

Tennis pro Kim Clijsters proved herself to be a champ on and off the court last night when she donated her $37,000 winnings at the Brisbane International in Australia to Brisbane’s Royal Children’s Hospital.

Kim, who is mom to 17-month-old daughter Jada, reveals she was inspired to make the donation after spending some time with the young patients at the hospital last week.

“It changes you, it stuck with me for days,” the 26-year-old says of her visit. “It’s terrible to see kids (suffering). There were boys and girls Jada’s age, 17 months and three years old, with brain tumours and everything. You wonder how it was possible for a young baby like that and it’s not easy.”

The Belgium-born athlete says that she hopes her “small amount” will inspire others to give what they can as well.

“It’s a small amount but hopefully it can help other people and other people can see it that it’s a good thing and hopefully other people can donate. Maybe in the long run it can really help.”
