Tried, Tested & True: Bumbleride’s Indie Twin Double Stroller

Good news for our readers, the Bumbleride Indie Twin review is in! Not only is this “luxury” stroller an eye pleaser, but we certainly think it is the #1 double stroller on the market! As part of our Stroller Review series, the kind folks over at Bumbleride sent out an Indie Twin for me to test drive. My list of favorite things about the Bumbleride is a long one, from easy setup to the simple fold-down, you can expect to get many years of enjoyment out of this high-quality stroller.

Setup was simple with detailed instructions from Bumbleride, even for someone that has a difficulty setting things up like myself. It took me maybe 10 minutes with many toddler distractions in between. Included with the stroller is a 5 point-harness strap system, which does a great job of securely keeping the kids in and seated and the stroller also boasts another fabulous feature, the optional car seat attachment. For parents who do not have twins, this handy attachment allows one side of the stroller to be converted to a seat for an infant carrier. The list of compatible car seats is a long one which can be found over at here.

I wanted to use the Indie Twin for a while, and get used to how to open it up, close it, put the brakes down, etc… I am glad I did so, because the more I use it, the more I love it! For a double stroller the Indie Twin is what I would call “trim,” I am able to get through the doors of any establishment, which is impressive for a side-by-side stroller. The lack of this feature has left me out in the dust before with previous strollers I had used. I also love how simple set-up and take down are. As with anything, there is a learning curve, but it was a small one and it quickly became second nature.

The Indie Twin is not technically a “Jogging Stroller,” however, the wheels are large enough to accommodate any terrain. It manuevers easily on my bumpy farm land, and at the same time is a breeze to push around city streets. It really amazed me at how light the stroller is to push, with two children totalling around 60lbs. I could literally push the stroller and it was super light weight, much much lighter and easier to push than other double strollers I have used in the past. The handlebar is adjustable, which is a great feature that can make it comfortable for each person pushing the stroller around, whether they are shorter or taller. The stroller also comes with a large storage area underneath, and Bumbleride generously includes many “extras” with each stroller, a rain cover, cupholder, airpump, jogging strap, and standard headrest and shoulder pads.

The bottom line for me is that a double stroller will never be a single stroller. It will never be tiny, super-easy to use, etc…, it is just physically not possible, or you would have to sacrifice things like comfort. But I have to give much credit to Bumbleride for creating the Indie Twin, which I think is truly the best double stroller on the market. They took so many details into account when creating the stroller, and it really shows. I would definitely recommend this stroller to parents in search of a double stroller. For the cost, you get many years of use, and I am sure you will quickly fall in love with it as I did.

Y&R Star Michelle Stafford Expecting

Y&R Star Michelle Stafford Expecting

It’s been a long and difficult road to motherhood for The Young & the Restless star Michelle Stafford, but she’s now thrilled to announce that she’s expecting her first child – a girl! – later this year.

The Emmy-award winning actress, who turns 44 next week, tells People, “After a three-year journey through hell, I’m elated, ecstatic and feel ultimately lucky to be able to announce I’m expecting my own child via surrogate in December.”

Michelle, who plays the feisty Phyllis Newman to perfection on the long-running soap, reveals that she tried artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization and considered adoption in her quest to become a mom. After multiple failed surgeries and egg retrievals, she went the surrogacy route. She describes the process as “the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.”

Currently single, Michelle says that going through this struggle on her own “made me realize the importance and reason for a partner,” though she admits she’s unsure about hitting the dating scene with a baby on the way!

“Dating men and telling them I’m expecting in December is a little different. I know I just need to find someone who wants the same things as I do.”

Congratulations to Michelle on the happy news!

Roger Federer: “It’s An Amazing Feeling To Be Called A Dad”

Roger Federer: “It's An Amazing Feeling To Be Called A Dad”

Tennis ace Roger Federer may be a pro on the court, but he admits he’s a bit out of his element when it comes to Daddy duty.

Roger, who welcomed twin daughters Charlene and Myla with his wife Mirka on July 23, tells People of double diaper duty, “Thank God nobody is judging me on it! It’s hard! But I’m still trying to be good at it.”

The doting dad is back to work competing in the US Open in New York, but he says he makes plenty of time for his family.

“It’s been a lot of fun being a father and spending time with them,” the 28-year-old reveals. “I’m hands on as much as I can because everyday is something new and something different. I don’t want to miss anything.”

Despite his amazing tennis career, Roger says his new job as a father is the one that means the most: “It’s an amazing feeling to be called a dad. I take a lot of pride in that title.”
